My family and I have been living here for over 10 years after we immigrated from Dubai, we are originally from South Africa. Our love for nature and culture bought us to New Zealand. My husband who is Tongan and I welcomed our baby girl in Oct last year and I have absolutely loved spending time with her at home. I love all pets of shapes and sizes! My love for animals came from a young age as I grew up with my best friend Bingo and Blue (Dalmatians). Hi, I am an experienced veterinary nurse who will look after your pets in your own home where they feel most comfortable. I can look after exotic pets as well as cats and dogs as I love all animals. I work in a vet clinic which treats a lot of exotic pets so have experience with all types of animals. I also volunteer at the zoo and hope to one day work there.
My main service I offer is house/pet sitting at your home where your pet is most comfortable. 
I have no problem with giving medications, walking pets, clipping nails and brushing or bathing them. I am to take care of some animals at my home, I do expect them to be up to date with flea and worm treatment and they need to be good with children as my partner has 2 children, aged 8 and 10. I am a 20 year old university student and am looking at dog walking, feedings and sittings. I love pets and am fortunate to have a ragdoll cat, as well as recently having a labrador who lived to the age of 12. So this would be a fun job for me to do as well as giving me a break from all the studying. I am a responsible young adult, and look forward to looking after your little fur baby. 
I love being in the outdoors and thought this would be a good way to not only walk and care for adorable pets but to also gain experience around looking after a wide range of pets and breeds. I live near a dog park and field but am also able to travel to your home. 
I have not had much experience but hope to change that soon! I have looked after my friends pets which have been rescues, old dogs, farm dogs and a crazy golden retriever pup. I have experience in giving oral medication as my dog was a senior dog, so it had become a daily routine. I can give daily exercise to your pet. I do want to be able to learn more about the different breeds and how to care for them.

ALL Animals really, but dogs, I feel, are THE most purest of EMPATHS on earth...Jst 1 look and they know what ur feeling, and will do theie best to give u whatever u may need. Firstly ill just say, that i work Monday to Friday, so am only avaliable from Friday to Sunday night - Monday morning. I also do not have a vehicle at the moment, so i thought id just put that there to begin with. Hopefully it wont put you off. Alrighty, so, I grew up with dogs (as well as cats and horses) all my life,  and I am a lover of all animals. As a child, I grew up with my maternal grandmothers German shepard, Shultz, and my paternal grandmothers 2 Rottweilers, Troy and Cruise , as well as my Dads 2 gundogs, Cujo and Elsie, which were Weimaraners. Ive also had 2 cats in my lifetime which we had when i was a child, pusspuss and maowmaow. They grew old and passed away, but i still have very found memories of them. Im a country girl at heart and have owned, ridden, and cared for my own horses as well. As an adult, I have only owned my own dog once, about 15 years ago, but she was stolen. It totally broke my heart for a long time. And due to personal reasons, I have not owned another dog since. I just make friends with all the other dogs I meet. When i was in ozzy, my best mate was my friends dog Scooby, a black pittyXstaffy. He absolutely saved my soul, and am blessed to have been his best friend. I miss him with all my heart, and looking at our videos, often brings a tear to my eye as all the beautiful memories of our time together comes flooding back. I feel I have a real affinity with all animals, but dogs have a special place in my heart. I used to furbabysit 2 Chocolate Labs, Choccy and Chippy, down in Leeston, near Christchurch, and they became best mates too. They were soo much fun!! And such lovable characters. When I moved back home, (Opotiki and Te Kaha) I used to live with 4 American Bulldogs, Red, Cypress,  Waikawa and Kowhai, and quickly became part of the pack. Alot of people were scared of them because, admittedly, they do look scary, but I grew very close to them and formed a bond which was absolutely amazing. Even their Dad/owner was amazed at how quickly we all (the dogs and I) became friends so quickly. And so, here I am, looking to share my love for our four-legged whanau members, and hopefully be of assistance to you, their furmama/daddy/parents, and hopefully build more awesome friendships with you and you bubbas. I cannot have pets where I live at the moment as I am boarding with friends and we dont actually have a yard. Also the landlord says no pets, so there's that main factor, lol. I don't have any formal training or anything, but ive read and watched alot of dog behavior and psychology books and videos, which are awesome. Hey there!&nbsp;My names Tihan I've had more pets than I can count ranging from goldfish to chickens, cats, parrots and dogs. Though nothings as fun as spending a day with my puppy oakey, unfortunately she's alittle old and lives with my parents now but I still go over just to visit her haha. Recently my partner and I adopted 2 kittens that were wondering the streets around our house and they've been so precious but I can't help my love for dogs, which Is why I wanted to offer my services as a dog sitter, walker and dog carer.&nbsp;I'm not able to bring dogs into my home but I have no problem spending hours at the beach, park or commuting to your home if thats better for you and your little four-legged friend.I don't mind big or small dogs. In 2023 my 20 year old cat, Spike, sadly passed away.  With no Spike to take care of I've been feeding the neighbour's two cats when they go away and have taken over the care of a small flock of chickens.  I've absolutely fallen for the chickens... so entertaining.&nbsp;
Spike required daily oral medications and lots of extra care so I am comfortable giving meds and understand the health needs that older cats can have.  I'm happy to prep special food if needed, keep litter trays clean and of course spend time during each visit getting to know your cat/s.
Over the years I have owned several cats, along with rabbits and guinea pigs and always used a pet sitting service when holidaying.  I found my cats were happier to stay at home where they felt safe in their own environment.  And with daily pet-sitter visits for feeding and text updates it meant I could relax and enjoy my holidays knowing they were in good hands.
