"We had never used a pet sitter before, so we were quite nervous about having someone care for our indoor cats. When we met Edita, she was incredibly kind and showed genuine interest in understanding the needs of our furbabies. Our cats instantly warmed up to her, such a reassuring sign for us.
During Edita’s stay, she provided clear communication and sent lots of photos, which we really appreciated. As our cats are strictly indoors, she took every precaution to ensure they remained safely inside while we were away for the night.
Edita also left our house clean and tidy. We are truly so thankful for the care and time she gave our cats and our home. "

"Great communication from Briar, made it easy to book a Home sit without stress , Panda enjoyed his time spent with Briar and showed off his zoomies but then did pee off spot and Briar was helpful enough to dab it with a pee mat.
Highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring dog sitter and for sure Panda will see her quite often."

"Roque capably met the challenge of caring for our 3 dogs (ages 2, 10, 13), 2 cats and 1 guinea pig for 9 nights. Our oldest dog needed twice daily medication which Roque was qualified and happy to administer. He picked up meds from the vet when they ran out, which we really appreciated. We received videos of the dogs enjoying their walks and a few questions that indicated Roque was carefully following the instructions we had left for him. This gave us great reassurance in leaving our precious family of animals in his care. We would gladly have Roque back in our home to care for our animals in the future."

"Annie house-sat for us for three days and took wonderful care of our very spoilt cat. We were really impressed with her consistent communication and regular photo updates, which put us at ease while we were away. Our cat has urinary issues, and Annie was very conscientious with her feeding routine and care. When we returned home, our cat was relaxed and settled, and the house was clean and tidy. We wouldn’t hesitate to use her services again."

"Lucy was very easy to communicate with and took her time to ask a lot of questions about both the animals and our expectations with regards to sitting. We met a couple of times to go over everything to make sure she had every little detail covered... Our boys loved their time with Lucy (even our elusive cat). She sent an update with pictures every evening and that gave use great peace of mind when leaving our babies (the cat for the first time ever!).
Would definitely recommend Lucy (and her partner) to anyone wanting a lovely and genuinely caring pet sitter. Thanks again Lucy and Keefe! "

"Claire has definitely become my go-to cat sitter. I never have to worry when I’m away, even for longer trips like this latest one, which was over two weeks. She’s reliable, communicative and takes such great care of my cat and my home - and he clearly loves having her around! I always come home to a clean, tidy house and a very happy cat, which gives me so much peace of mind while I’m away.

"Joanna is an amazing pet sitter, my two boys are cute but could be sometimes difficult and she dealt with them perfectly well, actually in my return I found them happy and more chill than normally they are, also she left the house in perfect condition. She is simply amazing. "

"I was beyond happy with Jeanette looking after my little cat Pippi. I couldn't have asked for a nicer, friendlier or more caring and considerate house sitter. Pippi is a very nervous little cat with other people, even with me as her owner at times. and the love, patience and time Jeanette gave in bonding with Pippi was a truly wonderful thing for me to experience. I knew Pippi was in excellent hands and she was one totally happy little cat the whole time I was away - 10th June 2025 until 19th July, so a long sit. I arrived home sick after a long flight last Saturday to find that Jeanette had also washed and folded all the bed linnen, washed towels for me and I am sure my bathroom floors had also been cleaned. She had also left me a lovely welcome home note, together with a small bottle of wine, chocolate and gorgeous little fridge magnets she had made featuring Pippi. I was really "touched" by her thoughtfulness and when I wasn't feeling too well it certainly put a smile on my face.
Should I need a house sitter or someone to feed Pippi in the future I would jump at the chance to book Jeanette again if available and would have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending Jeanette to anyone requiring a very caring, conscientious and loving pet sitter.

Why house sitting ?
Are you going away but have a pet that prefers to stay in their own environment? Or perhaps you have a range of different animals and it’s not practical for you to organise for them to stay in different places? Then you might want to consider finding a Pawshake house sitter to come and stay at your Kumeu home while you are away.
House sitting is a convenient and affordable option when you have multiple pets and also want your house to be securely looked after while you are away. Many of our pet sitters have very reasonable house sitting rates because they enjoy staying and exploring different local neighbourhoods like Kumeu.
At Pawshake, we understand that trusting your home to a stranger can be a little daunting. So we’ve done all the hard work to ensure that your Pawshake house sitter is trustworthy and reliable. All our pet sitter profiles are checked individually by our dedicated trust and safety team and some house sitters also have their own police checks which they can share with you.
The best thing about engaging a Pawshake verified house sitter is that you can relax knowing that on top of being covered by The Pawshake Guarantee which includes veterinary coverage, so your pets are being cared for in a familiar environment and your Kumeu home is also being looked after as well.
In addition to looking after your pets, most of our house sitters will happily help you by collecting your mail, taking out the bins, and watering your plants. Just make sure you discuss all your requirements with your chosen house sitter prior to booking.
Pet owners book house sitting in Kumeu on Pawshake. Over 3481 pet owners in Kumeu have left a review, with an average of 4.96/5. All paid safely using Visa, Mastercard, American Express
