Kia Ora, my name is Michaela and I am 23 years old. I have just recently moved down to Wellington from Hamilton to join the Wellington Phoenix women's football team. I am a professional football player and previously in Hamilton I was working as a PE &amp; Health teacher in a high school. I became a teacher after I came back from America after being there for 4 years studying. 
I love animals as I have been around them my whole life. I grew up with larger dogs as that is what my family had but I love all sized animal as they each have their own personalities. 
While I was in Hamilton and America I would dog walk and dog sit other people's dogs and just spend time with other's pets hanging out and taking care of them while their owners were at work or away of trips. So I enjoy spending time with other people's pets! 
As I have moved away from home I am looking forward to still be around dogs and to help people out when they need it. I am happy to dog walk, and dog sit and I have a car so I am able to meet wherever is needed! I live with 3 of my teammates who are all animal friendly and love dogs. 

Mid 40s, living in Khandallah (Wellington) and have been around pets / animals all my life.  My wife suggested I do this as I spend a large chunk of my time already playing with my own 2x cats, generally having a whale of a time doing so.  I've been a surveyor for over 25 years, often with animals around as farm animals or pets.  There's been many a job that's temporarily gone on hold as a random pet trots past and I stop to play with it.  Whilst I'm only advertising as a cat sitter (at owners' houses, not mine), I've happily been around all manner of farm / domestic animals.
My favourites - unashamably - are cats.  Good fun, quirky, and with their individual  ways keep you entertained for hours.  My old cat - Cesar Rodriegus Poyo (yup... he was Chillean... long story) grew to be quite elderly so I spent alot of time caring for him in his last year (he lived till 18).  We had lots of adventures together, in London, Scotland, Wales and Welly.  He helped me with setting up fires, tiling showers, and generally running off with anything resmbling a shoelace.  He moved to New Zealand with me, helped me build my house, and had a happy long retirement lounging around on the deck in Khandallah.
Nowadays I have 2x 2 year old younger cats - Kenji and Foxy, rescue cats from a petrol station in Hawkes Bay.  Kenji (the boy) is a bit dopey but sticks to me like glue.  Foxy (the girl) is more aloof but gorges my attention when her brother's not around.  I do alot of conservation / trapping work in a neighbouring reserve and they generally follow me, bouncing around having an explore feeling safe with me there.
Do I have previous experience?  Ummm.... yup.  I've had 3 cats as described above over the past 12 years, plus a sheepdog in my teenage years.  As mentioned above, I've been around umpteen animals and always respect them as animals (i.e. they have teeth and claws), but err on the side of being kind and quiet to them so as not to freak them out.  I understand there's all manner of things that go with cats too, vets, meds, diets, unexpected presents... if you're going away the 101% very last thing you want to do is freak your cat out anymore by locking them away in a cattery.  You (generally) also want some sort of daily updates, whether it be photos, emails or a combo of all.&nbsp;&nbsp;
Let me help you take your break with ease.  I used cat sitting via Pawshake for my honeymoon and it was an amazing cheap workaround to the problem of how to organise 2x cats' cattery stays / costs / logistics for 2 weeks.&nbsp;&nbsp;
I offer 3 services;
(1) House visits
Here I'll visit daily visit to check / feed / play with your pet(s).  Each visit I'll spend half an hour with them, checking they're alright and take photos of them to show they're happy, healthy, and generally chomping away.  If you're super anxious its not beyond the impossible to try to organise some live video via Whatsapp for you, as such things have definitly helped me before when I've worked away from home.  I can always commits to once each evening after 7pm, due to my day job.  For a 2nd daily visit, it would have to be very early and depending on my day job's workload I may have to say no.
(2) Dog walks
I can also do dog walks, local to me each evening .  I'm constrained by my day job so realisticly this will generally be about 7pm onwards..&nbsp;
(3) House sitting
This is offered throughout Wellington.  I offer house sitting on the weekends where I'll stay at the house for an agreed time period, looking after your pet(s) including walks, playing, feeding and cleaning.  Again, I'll supply photos and (if neccessary video feeds).  I'll treat your house as if it were my own, cleaning up as I'm there.  What I'll generally do is bring some reporting work on my laptop to keep me busy in the downtime.  I'll also provide you with my wife's details so you've an alternative method to contact me in an emergency.&nbsp;&nbsp;
I accept that people get suprise unplanned travel plans requiring rapid reactions, which often cannot fit around catteries / kennels or neighbours.  I used to work at sea with a 24-hour call out reponse time... I credibly understand the stress that goes with trying to organise your unplanned logistics along with your pet(s) and home.  What you want is a responsible mature person who will ***quickly*** reassure you that everything will be okay, not get forced into putting your faith in an untested local teenager.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;
Heads up... I cannot offer a boarding service.  Sorry, no facilities for that.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;
How this works is you contact me, we arrange a time for a visit, then I visit you without changre to meet you and your pets.  I demonstrate to you I'm 100% legit and show you whatever ID etc you want to see in advance.  We organise the specifics of what your need, and if all of us are happy then you commit me to a booking.  I'll then do the job, keeping you updated by photos / emails or whatever other method is agreed.
Why am I doing this?  I'm after extra work that works around my main job.  Following an awesome experience with a local cat sitter (helped my honeymoon go super smooth) I totally rated the PawShake system.  Visiting local Khandallah homes in the evenings local to Khandallah suits me perfectly.  I cycle so parking is not an issue for me.  As said above, I can generally always commit to a local evening house visit / dog walk for about 30 mins, can can come to some agreement 2nd home visit if neccessary, and can house sit.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;

I'm a qualified teacher (tertiary) and fitness professional and I recently decided to go down to part-time work, this gives me lots of flexibility for dog walks, homes visits or pet-sitting.  I've been a pet owner all my life, including dogs, cats, rabbits and hamsters.  One of my favourite activities is to get out in nature and walk with a fury friend. Heya! My name is Tara and I am a 29 year old animal lover currently working full time in an administration role. I am lucky that my job allows flexible working so I can be at home when required which is a huge positive in being able to care for animals.&nbsp;
My partner and I currently have a fluffy black and white cat called Bentley who we love to death along with my parents dog who tends to come and hang out sometimes! I've had previous experience feeding neighborhood cats and house sitting with family dogs when their owners go away.
