Our furry friends make our lives so happy and fulfilled but sometimes life can get in the way of giving them what they need and deserve and I am here to make that easier for you!
I am a passionate 26-year-old animal lover, I have owned dogs, cats, and rabbits and have never second-guessed prioritizing their needs with endless amounts of love. I am experienced with handling many kinds of dogs and have a very soft touch, yet being firm when necessary. 
My love for animals came naturally at what seemed like from birth :'D but really flourished when I was 12 years old and our family got a Rottweiler, Brando. Brando was in my life for 8 years and I learned just about everything to do with training, taming, and loving a dog. I have no size, age or breed preference as my experience and love for dogs is broad. 
And we couldn't leave out the kitties! I own 2 cats at home currently, and am all over the fact that some cats need almost just as much attention as dogs! I've also owned very sassy, 'hard-to-get' cats and understand some need their space while others insist on sitting on your lap while you work!
I have been pet sitting for many years now but only found out about PawShake a couple of years ago.
Here are some things that I offer for your pet while they are in my care:
(I am always open to catering to your preferences)...
• Walking - dog parks, suburb walks, beaches, mountains, etc.
• Increased exercising - playing fetch, running with them, swimming.
• Grooming - If your pet is a little smelly or dirty I don't mind giving them a bath.
• Feeding - If you are away I can stop by once or twice a day to feed them and of course give them some love and attention so they are not lonely while you are gone. (After working hours now)
• Overnight stay(s) - I can stay with your pet while you are away and care for them - please note that I no longer work from home, I am still offering pet stays overnight, I just would need to drop them off to a doggy day care in the morning and collect at night (I work 830am-430pm in at Heliers) - I also have a lovely doggie I pet sit for that is comfortable being left at home during the working day. So it's up to you what suits your fur baby best!
• Administering medicine - injections, or yummy treat hidden pills is my specialty! 

I do not work my full time job on weekends so am available for your fur babies all weekend long - please note that Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights I charge $90/night.
I am located in Herne Bay, and my initial preference would be to help out pet families located in close proximity to me but I am open to you reaching out to me from further afield and we can work something out. :)Thank you for reading and I would love to hear from you soon! :)

Hi, my name is Reilly. I am 21 years old and I live and work in Central Auckland. Since I was young I have had a fondness for animals. Growing up we had 2 dogs, 2 cats and a pet budgie. I am always first to volunteer to walk, feed and play with dogs and cats when my family, friends or friends of friends are going away, so I joined Pawshake in hopes of being able to care for more animals and pets :) I am super active and have just finished my bachelors degree in Sport and Recreation, so I love being outdoors and having a walking buddy  I currently work 5 days a week as a manager at a restaurant and bar so am unable to be with your pet 24/7 for longer periods of time, but am available for pop ins for feeding, playing with and walking your pets and have occasional availability for house/pet sitting. Unfortunately as I live in a rental property pets are not allowed, so I am unable to house your pets while you are away.&nbsp;
My experience: walking dogs, house/pet sitting for family friends, pop in visits for family friends (for feeding, exercise and checking on pets)
My services: I am available before 11am for all walking and 1x visit services. For 2x visits I am additionally available in the evening a couple days per week. Visits and walks will be for a period of 30-45 minutes (walks in a pet friendly park in the area). Feeding, clearing of litter trays, a small amount of exercise and company are included in visits. I am only available for house/pet sitting for a couple days once a week, usually on Friday and Saturday, but will be updated in my calendar as per availability. I am able to walk, feed and care for pets, as well as do any other duties such as taking in mail, watering plants etc.

I have grown up my whole life with dogs and lived in a small rural town. Since moving to Auckland for my univeristy studies I am desperately missing having furry friends in my life.
I am experienced in caring for small and big dogs at my family home and feel confident walking dogs of any size. I walked a familys Schanuzer puppy for over a year since he was 10 weeks old, so am experienced in dealing with energetic bouncy puppies.&nbsp;
I am happy to drive to beaches/out of the city (for an extra negogiated cost). I love to keep active and fit, so whether your dog is a sunday stroll type or a run for miles type, it is no problem at all.&nbsp;
A little bit more about my availability. I am only taking requests from February 10th onwards (I am still working full-time currently). I am completing my studies, starting Feb for the rest of the year. I will update here once I have my availability completely confirmed.
I am happy to offer flexibility in lengths of walks for a negogiated rate. Happy to do from 30 mins - 3 hours.

We are Phoebe and Ronan, a dynamic duo eager to extend a helping hand in caring for your beloved pets during our free hours. Allow us to introduce ourselves: I am a 27-year-old Graphic Designer, and my partner, Ronan, is a 30-year-old Director of Basketball and Head of Learning Support at a local school.
Describing us in a nutshell, we're a fun-loving, humorous, dependable, and well-organised couple. As proud New Zealand residents for nearly four years now, we've fallen head over heels for this beautiful country. Our motivation for pet sitting stems from our deep love for animals. Sadly, our current residence doesn't permit pets, preventing us from having our furry friend. Hence, Pawshake is the perfect avenue for us to revel in animal interaction while assisting pet owners in need.
My previous experiences include working in the Cattery at the SPCA and fostering cats. My duties at the SPCA involved ensuring fresh food and water for the cats, maintaining clean cages, and providing much-needed cuddle time. Ronan and I even fostered a 3-month-old kitten for over three weeks, an experience we cherished. Unfortunately, due to a change in our living situation, we had to discontinue fostering. My experience spans cats of all ages, from tiny kittens to wise 21-year-olds.
Growing up with a Burmese Cat with the loudest meow known to mankind, I've developed an unshakable fondness for feline friends. While my primary experience lies with cats, my workplace is dog-friendly, allowing me exposure to friendly and easy-going dogs. Ronan also has experience with cats and has walked dogs for family friends.
We genuinely love the company of animals, appreciating the loyalty and affection they offer.
Our availability primarily revolves around our 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM work hours, with evenings and weekends open for pet care. Depending on your location, we can sometimes accommodate early morning visits.Home Visit: During a home visit, we'll engage in playtime with your pets, ensure they have fresh food and water, offer cuddles and pats, and attend to the litter tray or any mess made by your pet. Please provide specific instructions if needed, and we'd be more than happy to send you photo updates during our visits to keep you connected with your pet.
House Sitting: Opting for house sitting means we'll stay overnight in your home as a comforting presence for your pet. We'll ensure they're happy, well-fed, safe, and entertained. Recognising the importance of routines for animals, were more than willing to adhere to any specific instructions to minimise disruption. Additionally, we can take care of chores such as collecting the mail and tending to a few plants; just jot down your requests for us. For our stay, we'd require WiFi access, the ability to use your kitchen for meal preparation (based on the stay's duration), and a suitable place to sleep.
Walk: Our dog walks would last around 30-40 minutes and take place in a nearby location. Treats, cuddles, poop bags, and pickup/drop-off services are all part of the package. Safety being paramount, we do not offer off-lead walks, ensuring the well-being of your dog and those around us.
It's worth noting that I have undergone police vetting for my volunteer work at the SPCA, and Ronan is fully police vetted due to his school employment.
We are pretty flexible, so don't hesitate to communicate your needs, and we'll do our utmost to accommodate them.
We're respectful and take pride in maintaining a peaceful home environment. Rest assured, we would treat your pets and home with the same care and attention as we do our own. Your pets and home will be in loving and attentive hands.

I work full time at the hospital so would be doing this on the side where able. I would love to have some regular bookings! 
I usually always have a pet in my house, but not at the moment so it does feel a little strange without them running around. I truly miss having a dog or cat around so would love to help out some lovely humans by taking their best friends on a walk or helping out with home visits.
I have reasonable experience with animals and have a couple of families that I house sit for regularly with dogs - I grew up with pet cats and helped to train a 1 year old rescue Pitbull.
I have experience using an e collar for dogs. 
Up to date vaccinations are ideal but not necessary. Comfortable administering medicines.
