Are you going away but have a pet that prefers to stay in their own environment? Or perhaps you have a range of different animals and it’s not practical for you to organise for them to stay in different places? Then you might want to consider finding a Pawshake house sitter to come and stay at your Woodend home while you are away.

House sitting is a convenient and affordable option when you have multiple pets and also want your house to be securely looked after while you are away. Many of our pet sitters have very reasonable house sitting rates because they enjoy staying and exploring different local neighbourhoods like Woodend.

At Pawshake, we understand that trusting your home to a stranger can be a little daunting. So we’ve done all the hard work to ensure that your Pawshake house sitter is trustworthy and reliable. All our pet sitter profiles are checked individually by our dedicated trust and safety team and some house sitters also have their own police checks which they can share with you.

The best thing about engaging a Pawshake verified house sitter is that you can relax knowing that on top of being covered by The Pawshake Guarantee which includes veterinary coverage, so your pets are being cared for in a familiar environment and your Woodend home is also being looked after as well.

In addition to looking after your pets, most of our house sitters will happily help you by collecting your mail, taking out the bins, and watering your plants. Just make sure you discuss all your requirements with your chosen house sitter prior to booking.

Hi everyone!
Since I was a teeny tot, my passion and life has revoloved around animals. They bring a happiness to me like no other. Nothing even comes close so, you know you're pets will be cherished and spoilt whilst in my care.
I have 10+ years experience and qualifications in animal management and have had the privilege of working and rehabilitating animals in my current job for the last 12 years. Working with various species small and large. Still to this day I can't grasp the concept of only having one favorite animal. They're all equally amazing.
I have a wide range of knowledge in behavioral, physical and medical health which enaures your animals are in safe hands at all times, I specialize in small critters such as rabbits and guineapigs.
I've always strived to do my best and go above and beyond for any and all animals. Long story short, animals are my weakness. I love them all too much.
I'll be offering dog boarding occasionally at my rural fully fenced house. This offers plenty of space indoors and outdoors and a long walk is included as well as lots of enrichment and tlc. Any dogs that I will have boarding must be fully vaccinated, desexed and be okay with my dog, Lulu and cats that are mainly indoors but can be segregated.
A meet and greet beforehand is essential to ensure the safety of all animals and make sure the animals are having the only the best time possible.
I have playpens, hutches , and have plenty of indoor space to have rabbits and/or guineapigs stay at my home as well so please enquire if you'd want this.
I look forward to hearing from you!
Thank you for considering me to be your temporary fur babies new friend!

Hi my name is Shelley I am 26 and I'm a qualified preschool head teacher. My hobbies include walks (love haswell quarry), photography and reading. I live in bishopdale area and in my spare time I love hanging with doggies and would love to help you be able to walk them more or house sit when you need.️ I would ideally like to be able to come to your house to dog sit and walk them as the dogs are more comfortable in their own environment. If your dog has any special requirements let me know and I can see how I can support you both. I usually finish work at around 330pm every week day so I am free to come around any time after to walk your dog or care for them. I am also free weekends if you need me to come and care for them id be more than happy to help. My walks are around 20-40 minutes. I often take my friends dogs out for walks to the park or house sit them for them and absolutley love my time with them., I've done some basic training with them. I hope to get to know you and your doggo soon. feel free to message me with any questions as I'm very flexible and want to make it the best experience for you and your doggie.

Hello! My name is jess and as a 19-year-old nursing student, my passion for animals drives me to offer affordable and professional pet-sitting and walking services! With my studies, I have plenty of free time to dedicate to your beloved pets. My ultimate goal is to become a vet nurse, so I am very comfortable around animals and caring for them. Up until 15, I had owned two farm cats and one dog. I live next to the beach and forest so my dog was always entertained and excercised! Unfortunately my pets did pass away due to old age. At the moment, I would not be able to to own a pet full time due to me being at school and work. Therefore I am more than happy to help you out with yours and get as much experience as I can for my future pets!
Your pet's well-being, happiness, and comfort are my top priorities. I understand the importance of keeping things clean, organized, and creating a safe environment. I'm especially patient and gentle with puppies and senior dogs. I'm also well-prepared for any emergency situations and I will always have my phone on me. I follow well with routines so whatever your pet needs I will be efficient and on time, whether this pet sitting or walking! If you ever want to check up on your beloved pet while you are away from them, don't hesitate to contact me for photos or videos!
I'm reliable, organized, and have 3 1/2 years of experience working with children, making me extremely patient and caring. I will bring water on walks and treats (if requested). No matter the size or breed, every pet deserves a happy and fulfilling experience, and I am committed to providing just that! Let me give your pet the love and attention they deserve! I will make sure your pet is well looked after, happy and comfortable. Whether its a rainy day, long workday, or you simply just want to relax, i have got you covered!

Loving Your Pets When You're Not There
Hello! I'm a reliable and caring pet sitter who understands that every pet is a valued member of the family. My goal is to make sure your pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you're away, while giving you peace of mind that they're receiving the best possible care.
I have experience caring for a wide range of animals, including cats, dogs, birds, and fish. I grew up with cats and have extensive knowledge of feline behaviour, health, and daily care. I currently volunteer with a local cat shelter, where I help care for cats with a variety of needs, including those who are unwell. Through this experience, I am confident administering medication to cats and am happy to discuss medication requirements for dogs and other pets as well.
Although I haven't owned a dog myself, I have regularly cared for dogs belonging to friends and family. My experience includes walking, feeding, playing with, and providing companionship to dogs of different sizes and personalities. I understand the importance of maintaining routines and ensuring pets feel comfortable while their owners are away. I ask that dogs have basic training and good leash manners. Unless otherwise instructed by the owner, I will keep dogs on a leash during walks. In poor weather conditions, I will always keep dogs on a leash to help prevent accidents and ensure their safety.
I'm confident handling a wide range of animal behaviours, from highly energetic dogs to anxious or shy cats and dogs. I have an anxious cat of my own, so I understand how important patience, consistency, and a calm approach can be when caring for nervous pets.
When meeting a new pet for the first time, I like to take things at their pace. I allow them time to become comfortable with me, learn their routine, and understand their individual personality and needs. This helps build trust and creates a positive experience for both the pet and owner.
Services I Offer:• Dog walks (30–60 minutes depending on your pet's needs)• Drop-in visits and overnight stays for feeding, fresh water, litter tray cleaning, toilet breaks, playtime, and companionship• Pet-sitting visits for cats, dogs, birds, fish, and other small pets• Medication administration where required• Regular photo and message updates so you can stay connected with your pet
In the unlikely event of an emergency, I will contact the owner immediately and explain the situation. I'm experienced in recognising when a pet may be unwell and will respond appropriately. I hold a full driver's licence and can transport your pet to the vet if necessary. Whenever possible, I will consult with the owner before making any decisions regarding their pet's health or welfare.
My work schedule is casual, which means my availability is often flexible. Some weeks I only have a few shifts, while other weeks are busier, so I encourage owners to get in touch to discuss availability.
I'm a passionate animal lover and am currently saving for upcoming studies. Pet sitting allows me to do something I genuinely enjoy while helping pet owners feel confident that their animals are receiving excellent care.
