Are you going away but have a pet that prefers to stay in their own environment? Or perhaps you have a range of different animals and it’s not practical for you to organise for them to stay in different places? Then you might want to consider finding a Pawshake house sitter to come and stay at your Red Beach home while you are away.

House sitting is a convenient and affordable option when you have multiple pets and also want your house to be securely looked after while you are away. Many of our pet sitters have very reasonable house sitting rates because they enjoy staying and exploring different local neighbourhoods like Red Beach.

At Pawshake, we understand that trusting your home to a stranger can be a little daunting. So we’ve done all the hard work to ensure that your Pawshake house sitter is trustworthy and reliable. All our pet sitter profiles are checked individually by our dedicated trust and safety team and some house sitters also have their own police checks which they can share with you.

The best thing about engaging a Pawshake verified house sitter is that you can relax knowing that on top of being covered by The Pawshake Guarantee which includes veterinary coverage, so your pets are being cared for in a familiar environment and your Red Beach home is also being looked after as well.

In addition to looking after your pets, most of our house sitters will happily help you by collecting your mail, taking out the bins, and watering your plants. Just make sure you discuss all your requirements with your chosen house sitter prior to booking.

Hello! My name is Lillian and I am a lifelong dog and animal lover. I’ve been a trusted private dog and house sitter for over five years, and I previously owned a very good boy (a Jack Russell), so I truly understand how much pets are part of the family. Over the years, I’ve cared for a wide range of animals including dogs, cats, chickens, and even rats, and I’m comfortable caring for up to two dogs at a time, alongside other pets.
I currently offer house sitting only, allowing your pets to stay comfortably in their own familiar environment. I work nearby with flexible hours, so I’m able to pop in during the day for check-ins, walks, feeds, and company. On weekends, I’m happy to plan longer walks or adventures to suit your dog’s energy and routine. I’m also very conscious of keeping your home clean, secure, and well cared for while you’re away. For longer bookings (one week or more), feel free to chat with me about discounted rates.
With a biomedical background, I’m confident administering medications (oral or injection) and following detailed care instructions. I’m reliable, communicative, and happy to provide regular updates and photos for peace of mind. I treat every pet like my own and would love to meet your furry family member.

We're based on the North Shore (Browns Bay) for home and work, so the best locations for us are North Shore, North-West, Hobsonville and up to Orewa. I work from home so if you have specific needs for your pup or cat, just let us know.

Hello! My name is Gemma and my son, Max, is an 11-year-old animal lover who enjoys taking care of pets. According to Pawshake rules, Max will always be accompanied by a parent. I have a lot of experience as I'm the housesitting part of the team and a mother of 5 boys, so you can trust us completely.
We are available after 3:30 pm on Monday to Friday and from 10 am to 4 pm on holidays and weekends. I also have some flexibility during the weekdays, so I could take care of your pets without my son if needed.
Our services cover Stanmore Bay, Arkles Bay, and Manly. We will walk your pets locally in parks or at the beach near your home. We live in Stanmore Bay and have a very patient cat named Boots who is the same age as Max. We have experience in taking care of pets for neighbours and friends by feeding them, brushing them, regularly walking them, and cleaning up after them.
We are happy to look after smaller pets like fish or turtles, and we are willing to discuss costs depending on the type of animal and the work required.
When it comes to house and pet sitting, I'm the one who takes care of that as it gives me some much-needed time out. I am a reliable, trustworthy, and experienced pet sitter who is passionate about providing the best care to your furry friends. What recent pet owners have said about me:
"Gemma has looked after our fur baby since 2019. We prefer to let Socks stay home rather than the stress of a cattery, he then gets to enjoy home with the added bonus of Gemma's company. Gemma is professional and organised and I know if anything was to happen to Socks, Gemma would be very capable in any situation. We love Gemma!"

Hi, I’m Sofia Acarapi, a 24-year-old Valuer working full-time in a corporate role.I’ve been surrounded by dogs my whole life, growing up with one and now sharing my home with my lovely Japanese Spitz. In high school, I aspired to become a veterinarian and even completed my required hours, but ultimately chose a different path and graduated with a Bachelor of Property and Commerce from the University of Auckland in 2025.
Despite the career shift, my love for animals has never faded. I’m always the one patting pets at gatherings or stopping to play with dogs at the beach. I walk my own dog most days and often help friends by walking theirs when needed. Pet sitting/walking allows me to stay connected to that passion and provide care to animals while giving owners peace of mind. I’m excited to meet new fur friends and offer a safe, loving environment while you're away.

Hi, I’m Sunny! I’ve always had a deep love and respect for animals. Growing up surrounded by pets, I learned early on how important it is to give them not just food and exercise, but also care, attention, and affection. I understand that pets are family, so my goal is to provide them with the same love, attention, and care they would get from you. My motivation to be a pet sitter comes from wanting to do what I love and provide peace of mind to pet parents while giving their furry family members the love and care they deserve.
I offer a variety of services to suit your pet’s needs, including dog walking, daily home visits (once or twice a day), and overnight house sitting. Whether your furry friend needs a fun walk to burn off energy, a quick drop-in for feeding and playtime, or full-time companionship while you’re away, I’m here to help. I am attentive, patient, always tailoring my approach to each pet’s unique routine and committed to keeping pets happy, healthy.
I have experience caring for pets with different personalities and needs, and I always take the time to make them feel comfortable. Your pets will be treated like family while in my care. To ensure everyone’s safety, I only care for vaccinated pets. You can count on me to be dependable, trustworthy, and caring while looking after your furry family members.
I look forward to meeting you and your pets!

I just Love dogs!!!
Their gentle souls warm my heart. I love spending time with them and be friends with them. I love taking dogs to small hikes, ocean swims, local markets, park runs and doing yogas with them!!! Anything you'd do with your human friends or kids, I'd share with the dogs I look after.
I am experienced with dog feeding, walking, overnight sitting and ear injections medicines...
I am new on the app but have been regular dog sitter for families in my area. Would love to get to know more sweet dogs and lovely owners from here!!!
I am based in Auckland, North Shore. Can do multiple days sitting if you are away for a trip or so. I like taking time to make the connections with fur babies and their families. Long term relationships are what I am looking for with both the dogs and their families!

Hi there! My name is Sheila, 31, work in the stock broking industry and live with my handsome Persian X Chinchilla cat, Zeus.
From 14-19, I had my first job as a kennel girl at a Veterinary Clinic on the North Shore. I've always had a big heart for animals but as a child I was only ever allowed one pet at a time. So, working here part-time through high school was a dream because I was surrounded by every breed, every size, and all needing loving, nurturing care.
What I offer:
Dog walking and house sitting services
Daily photos for your peace of mind
Ample exercise for your dogs - whether they love the beach or park, or both!
Playtime with your cats - mine loves cardboard boxes, balls of string, a mouse, feather wand, endless bouncy balls
Endless love, cuddles, genuine attention and care as if they were my own
