Are you going away but have a pet that prefers to stay in their own environment? Or perhaps you have a range of different animals and it’s not practical for you to organise for them to stay in different places? Then you might want to consider finding a Pawshake house sitter to come and stay at your Rangiora home while you are away.

House sitting is a convenient and affordable option when you have multiple pets and also want your house to be securely looked after while you are away. Many of our pet sitters have very reasonable house sitting rates because they enjoy staying and exploring different local neighbourhoods like Rangiora.

At Pawshake, we understand that trusting your home to a stranger can be a little daunting. So we’ve done all the hard work to ensure that your Pawshake house sitter is trustworthy and reliable. All our pet sitter profiles are checked individually by our dedicated trust and safety team and some house sitters also have their own police checks which they can share with you.

The best thing about engaging a Pawshake verified house sitter is that you can relax knowing that on top of being covered by The Pawshake Guarantee which includes veterinary coverage, so your pets are being cared for in a familiar environment and your Rangiora home is also being looked after as well.

In addition to looking after your pets, most of our house sitters will happily help you by collecting your mail, taking out the bins, and watering your plants. Just make sure you discuss all your requirements with your chosen house sitter prior to booking.

I provide professional, dependable dog walking and in-home pet care in Christchurch for owners who truly value quality, consistent and want the best for their pets.
As a mature, responsible adult, I bring reliability, patience and truly understand the love we have for our fur babies. I have a friendly, bubbly personality that dogs warm to quickly. I believe our dogs can sense peoples personality and pets respond beautifully to this genuine affection.
I have grown up with dogs and have walked dogs on and off over my entire life. I have had a break whilst raising my children but now they are in their late teens and moving on with their own lives I am back doing what I love doing most. Walking is part of my everyday lifestyle, and I tailor each outing to suit your dog’s needs, its not just a walk for me, its quality time for your beloved pets . I never rush care — your dog’s safety, enrichment and happiness always come first.
I also offer in-home visits and overnight stays, keeping pets relaxed in their familiar environment while you’re at work or away. You can expect thoughtful attention, routine, and regular photo updates for complete peace of mind.
I aim to build long-term relationships with owners who see their dogs as family and want the best love and care for them.

Hi there! My name is Axl, and I’m a passionate animal lover with a natural connection to both dogs and cats. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of pet sitting for friends and family, caring for a variety of pets with different temperaments and needs. Whether it’s feeding, walking, playtime, or simply keeping your furry friend company, I take great pride in providing the same level of care and attention I would give my own pet.
What motivates me most is the belief that animals deserve love, patience, and respect. I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals and find it rewarding to be part of their care when their owners are away. While I’m unable to host pets in my own home due to my current living situation, I’m more than happy to look after them in their familiar environment. I'm reliable, calm, and attentive—someone you can trust with your beloved pets.

Hey! I'm Cassidy and I am a pet lover, big or small, fluffy or not... I love them all. I am an enthusiastic energetic person who loves to exercise and has been playing basketball all her life. I'd love to take your doggo out for walks/runs to make sure they get plenty of exercise. I love to find new places to walk so your dogs will be sure to find some amazing new smells! I am reliable and trustworthy and you can always count on me to give your pets heaps of love!

I love all types of animals however I myself am a cat person but I also LOVE dogs and have grown up with both all my life. I have a soft spot for dogs (especially golden retrievers) because I love to run around and get lots of exercise, but all dogs are amazing and I thoroughly enjoy spending time with them no matter the breed!

I have been a pet sitter for a gorgeous Cavoodle puppy which meant I had to be very vigilant to make sure he wasn't getting into too much mischief! I have also looked after a cat and a larger poodle at the same time which was a blast. I recently house sat a chocolate Labrador which was a challenge because he loved to steal my shoes and socks but ultimately I loved every minute of it! I have a pretty flexible work schedule which means I can be attentive to your animal and give them lots of love and exercise. My services include dog walking, daytime visits, house sitting and check ins .
I would love to be your pet sitter, I can promise that they will get everything they need and you will not be disappointed!
