Are you going away but have a pet that prefers to stay in their own environment? Or perhaps you have a range of different animals and it’s not practical for you to organise for them to stay in different places? Then you might want to consider finding a Pawshake house sitter to come and stay at your Pegasus home while you are away.

House sitting is a convenient and affordable option when you have multiple pets and also want your house to be securely looked after while you are away. Many of our pet sitters have very reasonable house sitting rates because they enjoy staying and exploring different local neighbourhoods like Pegasus.

At Pawshake, we understand that trusting your home to a stranger can be a little daunting. So we’ve done all the hard work to ensure that your Pawshake house sitter is trustworthy and reliable. All our pet sitter profiles are checked individually by our dedicated trust and safety team and some house sitters also have their own police checks which they can share with you.

The best thing about engaging a Pawshake verified house sitter is that you can relax knowing that on top of being covered by The Pawshake Guarantee which includes veterinary coverage, so your pets are being cared for in a familiar environment and your Pegasus home is also being looked after as well.

In addition to looking after your pets, most of our house sitters will happily help you by collecting your mail, taking out the bins, and watering your plants. Just make sure you discuss all your requirements with your chosen house sitter prior to booking.

Hi there!

I have grown up with and owned my own cats my whole life. I love them. I currently just have the one, an old lady who is 17 and enjoying her only child status in her final years.
I have done a lot of cat/pet sitting over the years, most recently in the US where my family and I house-sat and looked after 3 inside cat children. I have volunteered for a cat rescue so I’ve encountered many different personalities and I learned a lot through that experience. I have a very quiet, calm and centred personality so shy cats are not a problem
Once a day visits - Half an hour, feeding and playing/hanging out with your cat.
Twice a day visits - For twice a day visits I can do them back to back and spend an hour quality time playing or hanging out with your cat. I can also do the feeding separately if you think that suits your cat better, you know them best!
-If your cat needs a bit more support or you just want your home to be looked after while you are away I can offer house/cat sitting for stays up to two weeks. Longer stays can be negotiated depending on your location.
Housesitting guarantees I am in your home for at least a 12 hour period. (e.g 7pm until 7am) I occasionally will have work and other commitments to attend during the day but when I don’t, I will be with your cat.
I’m happy to water plants, collect mail and put bins out for day visits and for overnight stays.
If you have a dog that gives cat vibes I may be able to help, get in touch and we can talk!
Daily photo/video updates from your kitty if required.

Kia ora, I'm Monique and I am a mum of 3. I work a part time job as a support worker. I absolutely love animals and grew up around them. I've owned everything from fish to goats and everything in between. Currently we have 40+ parrots, chickens, dogs, goldfish, tropical fish, chinchillas, rabbits and a cat. But if it's a small pet you can guarantee I have probably owned one at some point. I'm happy to offer care for the likes of rabbits/rodents in my home - please don't hesitate to ask. I have boarded birds here before too, but it would depend on the setup requirements your bird needs. I don't have the facility to look after cats or dogs in my own home but can travel twice a day (I'm available Mornings and evenings) if needed to ensure your fur babies are well taken care of. I'm happy to administer medication, should there be any complex health needs. I would be more than happy to give your pet a brush or just offer loads of cuddles! During home visits id be happy to clear your mailbox or water any plants you may have as well.Dog walking - I can come to your house and pick up your dog/s to take them for a walk for 30 minutes a day. Please don't hesitate to get in contact with any questions you may have,Monique

Hi I'm Abby and a cat mom to my cheeky tabby cat called Kebab. I have plenty of experience with cats, having grown up with them. I love house sitting and making sure owners feel reassured that their homes and their pets are safe and well looked after. As a cat mom I know how stressful it is to leave your pets while on holiday, and therefore, I can provide updates and photos (if you wish) of the pets and make sure I spend time cuddling/playing. If house sitting, I will make sure the property stays tidy and clean and ensure the pets are well looked after. I have experience pet sitting for friends and family and always make sure the pets are loved and cared for. If your pet needs extra attention we can discuss these requirements prior to booking. Feel free to flick me a message to discuss more or meet me in person :)

Hi, I’m Hayley! I’m currently studying for a Bachelor of Nursing at ARA while working part-time, so I have a very flexible schedule and plenty of experience caring for animals of all kinds.
I have a 1-year-old cat named Ziggy who absolutely loves cuddles, and my sister has a high-energy Staffy mix named Mila who keeps me active with daily walks and playtime. I also currently pet sit two laid-back chocolate Labradors, so I’m confident caring for dogs of different sizes, temperaments, and energy levels.
I’m passionate about making sure pets feel safe, loved, and comfortable while their owners are away. I understand how important it is to trust the person caring for your furry family members, so I always aim to provide reliable, attentive, and loving care.
When looking after the Labrador's one of them is a senior, I have experience with giving dogs medication.
I offer overnight stays in your home for as long as needed.
Check ins (1-2 times daily)
Daily walks (as short or as long as your dogs need)
I also love being around cats and small animals as well.
Please reach out, I can't wait to meet all your furry friends and look after them and give them the best care possible while you are away.

Hi! I’m a full-time teacher with a big heart for animals and an active lifestyle. Growing up with dogs has given me a deep love and understanding of their personalities and needs. These days, I regularly look after my sister’s two golden retrievers and her cat when she travels for work—and I absolutely love it!
Spending time with animals brings me so much joy and calm. Whether it’s a walk, a cuddle, or playtime, I genuinely enjoy being around pets and making sure they feel safe, happy, and cared for. I’m reliable, attentive, and respectful of routines, because I know how important consistency is for our furry companions.
When I’m not teaching or pet-sitting for my sister, I’d love the chance to help out other pet owners. Whether you’re away for a weekend or need regular support, I’ll treat your pets like my own.
My location is Belfast, which it would be fabulous to help out in the community.
Let’s chat—I’d love to meet you and your pets!

Hi there! My name is Axl, and I’m a passionate animal lover with a natural connection to both dogs and cats. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of pet sitting for friends and family, caring for a variety of pets with different temperaments and needs. Whether it’s feeding, walking, playtime, or simply keeping your furry friend company, I take great pride in providing the same level of care and attention I would give my own pet.
What motivates me most is the belief that animals deserve love, patience, and respect. I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals and find it rewarding to be part of their care when their owners are away. While I’m unable to host pets in my own home due to my current living situation, I’m more than happy to look after them in their familiar environment. I'm reliable, calm, and attentive—someone you can trust with your beloved pets.

Hey! I'm Cassidy and I am a pet lover, big or small, fluffy or not... I love them all. I am an enthusiastic energetic person who loves to exercise and has been playing basketball all her life. I'd love to take your doggo out for walks/runs to make sure they get plenty of exercise. I love to find new places to walk so your dogs will be sure to find some amazing new smells! I am reliable and trustworthy and you can always count on me to give your pets heaps of love!

I love all types of animals however I myself am a cat person but I also LOVE dogs and have grown up with both all my life. I have a soft spot for dogs (especially golden retrievers) because I love to run around and get lots of exercise, but all dogs are amazing and I thoroughly enjoy spending time with them no matter the breed!

I have been a pet sitter for a gorgeous Cavoodle puppy which meant I had to be very vigilant to make sure he wasn't getting into too much mischief! I have also looked after a cat and a larger poodle at the same time which was a blast. I recently house sat a chocolate Labrador which was a challenge because he loved to steal my shoes and socks but ultimately I loved every minute of it! I have a pretty flexible work schedule which means I can be attentive to your animal and give them lots of love and exercise. My services include dog walking, daytime visits, house sitting and check ins .
I would love to be your pet sitter, I can promise that they will get everything they need and you will not be disappointed!

Hi everyone!
Since I was a teeny tot, my passion and life has revoloved around animals. They bring a happiness to me like no other. Nothing even comes close so, you know you're pets will be cherished and spoilt whilst in my care.
I have 10+ years experience and qualifications in animal management and have had the privilege of working and rehabilitating animals in my current job for the last 12 years. Working with various species small and large. Still to this day I can't grasp the concept of only having one favorite animal. They're all equally amazing.
I have a wide range of knowledge in behavioral, physical and medical health which enaures your animals are in safe hands at all times, I specialize in small critters such as rabbits and guineapigs.
I've always strived to do my best and go above and beyond for any and all animals. Long story short, animals are my weakness. I love them all too much.
I'll be offering dog boarding occasionally at my rural fully fenced house. This offers plenty of space indoors and outdoors and a long walk is included as well as lots of enrichment and tlc. Any dogs that I will have boarding must be fully vaccinated, desexed and be okay with my dog, Lulu and cats that are mainly indoors but can be segregated.
A meet and greet beforehand is essential to ensure the safety of all animals and make sure the animals are having the only the best time possible.
I have playpens, hutches , and have plenty of indoor space to have rabbits and/or guineapigs stay at my home as well so please enquire if you'd want this.
I look forward to hearing from you!
Thank you for considering me to be your temporary fur babies new friend!

Hello! My name is jess and as a 19-year-old nursing student, my passion for animals drives me to offer affordable and professional pet-sitting and walking services! With my studies, I have plenty of free time to dedicate to your beloved pets. My ultimate goal is to become a vet nurse, so I am very comfortable around animals and caring for them. Up until 15, I had owned two farm cats and one dog. I live next to the beach and forest so my dog was always entertained and excercised! Unfortunately my pets did pass away due to old age. At the moment, I would not be able to to own a pet full time due to me being at school and work. Therefore I am more than happy to help you out with yours and get as much experience as I can for my future pets!
Your pet's well-being, happiness, and comfort are my top priorities. I understand the importance of keeping things clean, organized, and creating a safe environment. I'm especially patient and gentle with puppies and senior dogs. I'm also well-prepared for any emergency situations and I will always have my phone on me. I follow well with routines so whatever your pet needs I will be efficient and on time, whether this pet sitting or walking! If you ever want to check up on your beloved pet while you are away from them, don't hesitate to contact me for photos or videos!
I'm reliable, organized, and have 3 1/2 years of experience working with children, making me extremely patient and caring. I will bring water on walks and treats (if requested). No matter the size or breed, every pet deserves a happy and fulfilling experience, and I am committed to providing just that! Let me give your pet the love and attention they deserve! I will make sure your pet is well looked after, happy and comfortable. Whether its a rainy day, long workday, or you simply just want to relax, i have got you covered!

Loving Your Pets When You're Not There
Hello! I'm a reliable and caring pet sitter who understands that every pet is a valued member of the family. My goal is to make sure your pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you're away, while giving you peace of mind that they're receiving the best possible care.
I have experience caring for a wide range of animals, including cats, dogs, birds, and fish. I grew up with cats and have extensive knowledge of feline behaviour, health, and daily care. I currently volunteer with a local cat shelter, where I help care for cats with a variety of needs, including those who are unwell. Through this experience, I am confident administering medication to cats and am happy to discuss medication requirements for dogs and other pets as well.
Although I haven't owned a dog myself, I have regularly cared for dogs belonging to friends and family. My experience includes walking, feeding, playing with, and providing companionship to dogs of different sizes and personalities. I understand the importance of maintaining routines and ensuring pets feel comfortable while their owners are away. I ask that dogs have basic training and good leash manners. Unless otherwise instructed by the owner, I will keep dogs on a leash during walks. In poor weather conditions, I will always keep dogs on a leash to help prevent accidents and ensure their safety.
I'm confident handling a wide range of animal behaviours, from highly energetic dogs to anxious or shy cats and dogs. I have an anxious cat of my own, so I understand how important patience, consistency, and a calm approach can be when caring for nervous pets.
When meeting a new pet for the first time, I like to take things at their pace. I allow them time to become comfortable with me, learn their routine, and understand their individual personality and needs. This helps build trust and creates a positive experience for both the pet and owner.
Services I Offer:• Dog walks (30–60 minutes depending on your pet's needs)• Drop-in visits and overnight stays for feeding, fresh water, litter tray cleaning, toilet breaks, playtime, and companionship• Pet-sitting visits for cats, dogs, birds, fish, and other small pets• Medication administration where required• Regular photo and message updates so you can stay connected with your pet
In the unlikely event of an emergency, I will contact the owner immediately and explain the situation. I'm experienced in recognising when a pet may be unwell and will respond appropriately. I hold a full driver's licence and can transport your pet to the vet if necessary. Whenever possible, I will consult with the owner before making any decisions regarding their pet's health or welfare.
My work schedule is casual, which means my availability is often flexible. Some weeks I only have a few shifts, while other weeks are busier, so I encourage owners to get in touch to discuss availability.
I'm a passionate animal lover and am currently saving for upcoming studies. Pet sitting allows me to do something I genuinely enjoy while helping pet owners feel confident that their animals are receiving excellent care.
