Are you going away but have a pet that prefers to stay in their own environment? Or perhaps you have a range of different animals and it’s not practical for you to organise for them to stay in different places? Then you might want to consider finding a Pawshake house sitter to come and stay at your Papakura home while you are away.

House sitting is a convenient and affordable option when you have multiple pets and also want your house to be securely looked after while you are away. Many of our pet sitters have very reasonable house sitting rates because they enjoy staying and exploring different local neighbourhoods like Papakura.

At Pawshake, we understand that trusting your home to a stranger can be a little daunting. So we’ve done all the hard work to ensure that your Pawshake house sitter is trustworthy and reliable. All our pet sitter profiles are checked individually by our dedicated trust and safety team and some house sitters also have their own police checks which they can share with you.

The best thing about engaging a Pawshake verified house sitter is that you can relax knowing that on top of being covered by The Pawshake Guarantee which includes veterinary coverage, so your pets are being cared for in a familiar environment and your Papakura home is also being looked after as well.

In addition to looking after your pets, most of our house sitters will happily help you by collecting your mail, taking out the bins, and watering your plants. Just make sure you discuss all your requirements with your chosen house sitter prior to booking.

Kia Ora !
My name is Georgia. I'm a big animal lover and a guardian of two funny little dogs.
I have experience in caring for puppies, adult dogs, kittens, adult cats, reptiles, rabbits, guinea pigs, rats, and chickens.
I am currently studying toward a Bachelors In Biodiversity and Animal Health and Welfare and have completed my second year this year.
Our pets have no choice but to rely on us to meet their health and well-being needs. As guardians it is our responsibility to provide the best nutrition, healthcare, environment, and human-animal interactions as possible. We should be reaching to provide our pets care of gold standard quality and not just meet their health basics.
I believe all animals under human care deserve not only the basic care but also kindness, connection, and compassion.
It's a fast and busy world out there, not everyone can find the time to give their animal companions the time and attention they want. By joining this app I hope to help busy guardians who want the best for their pets to nurture and enrich their four legged family members.
I hope to meet you and your four legged friends

Hi, I’m Guan Jin Lin. I had dogs in Taiwan for around 10 years, and through that experience I learned how important pets truly are, they are not just animals, but beloved family members.

Over the years, I cared for my dog through different stages of life, including times when they were sick or needed extra patience and attention. That experience taught me to be observant, gentle, and responsible when caring for animals.

I also have experience walking and looking after dogs for friends and host families while traveling, and I’m comfortable with dogs of different sizes, personalities, and energy levels.

I believe every animal deserves kindness, patience, and genuine care. Whether it’s going for walks, keeping them company, or helping them feel safe and comfortable, I always try to treat every pet as if they were my own.

I’m committed to providing reliable and attentive care, and I value clear communication with pet owners. I’m happy to keep you updated about your dog’s activities and well-being so you can feel reassured while you’re away.

If you’re looking for someone trustworthy, caring, and genuinely passionate about animals, I would be very happy to help!

Hello
My name is Auri.
The reason I became a pet sitter is that it gives people reassurance to know that their pet is in good hands whilst they might be away. Giving people a hand to reach out to, to entrust their pets with makes me feel very honoured and I provide your pet with the best comfort and care.
I have experience with dogs, cats, chickens and guinea pigs young and old so I have the knowledge and ability to make sure they are getting what they need. I grew up with dogs and cats so have 10+ years of experience including 4 years I was apart of a cat foster programme in which I learnt bottle feeding and medication on a regular basis.
I am comfortable with pets of any walk of life whether they need medicine daily or have other specialised needs I want to give your pet the best.
I am based in East auckland but have my own transport and will travel all around auckland to look after your fur babies.

Services I can offer
Dog walking
Once or Twice a day trips
Pet sitting (At your establishment)

Hi! My name is Jordyn, I'm a 19 year old student and I own 4 cats and a dog. All my animals are rescues and I love them to bits! Some photos featured are of my own furry friends, others are of various foster babies my family has looked after - one of the perks of having a vet nurse for a mum!
Needless to say I am well experienced in pet care - from daily feeding and walks to administering medication !
My dog is a big boy, so I am able and ready to handle bigger dogs :) he is friendly but very energetic and has given me good practice dealing with excited pups !
I am willing to do any and all services, from overnight watching to a casual 30 minute walk. I am flexible and ready to discuss what you need!
My time is taken from 9:00am - 4:00pm every weekday, but anytime after 4pm during the work week I am available. And on weekends I am very flexible and willing to keep your fur babies company, any time !! ️
Please reach out with any questions!

Hi yah!
My name is Sam and I love all things pets! we currently have one small dog, Pepper, and live out in Takanini. I recently have had a change in career which allows me to spend more time at home than I have previously, so looking to spend some more time with furry friends!
I have been brought up with dogs and pets my entire life, so have experience looking after all range of dogs and pets!
Growing up I had experience with Rotties all the way down to pugs!
Our home is small, however we do regular walks and adventures with our pup and will do the same with yours! We like to go around walks in the neighbourhood, in the Hunua Ranges and at the beach! Your pup will need to be fully vaccinated and house trained to stay with us!
Please reach out with a message if you have any further questions. Looking forward to hearing from you!

Hi there! I’m Queenie — a caring and dependable pet lover based in Wattle Downs Auckland . I’ve been helping friends and families with pet and house sitting for several years, and I absolutely love the joy (and cuddles!) that come with spending time with animals.

My service includes:
- House sitting (overnight if required): cleaning, laundry, plant care, ironing
- Pet sitting: visiting, walking (a good 30' or more if required), feeding, showering, playing

I treat every furry friend like a true friend — making sure they’re happy, safe, and loved at their own home while you’re away. Whether it’s walks, playtime, feeding, or just keeping them company, I take pride in creating a calm and comfortable environment for them. ‍

I have rich experience with small to medium dogs, cats (elderly cats on medication!), chickens and bunnies. I’ve got some wonderful references from happy pet and house owners who appreciate my reliability, attention to detail, and genuine care. You can read them in my profile.

Pet sitting isn’t just a side hustle for me — it’s something I truly enjoy. So if you’re looking for someone who’ll care for your pets and your home as if they were their own, I’d love to help!

Hi, I'm Lauren!
I have always had pets growing up, and have had quite the variety from Guinea Pigs and Rabbits all the way up to Horses and Cattle! I love hanging out with my current cat Carly who is very playful and loves an adventure.
I have cared for young animals as well as old, including my beautiful cat Leo who is 21 and on a wide variety of medication. Leo lives with my parents in Gisborne as he is not cleared for travel, so I travel to see him 4-6 times a year. I have a soft spot for older animals as they have so much love to give.
My partner (Luke) and I live in Hamilton and travel to Auckland most weeks for work, staying overnight with family. We work during the day, but would be best suited for an overnight stay with your furry friends, making sure they feel at home and don't have seperation anxiety. We use this service for our cat while we are away too, and thought it would be a wonderful way to return the favour as it puts us at ease. I am a classical musician (Flute) and would be so happy to perform for the pets if they enjoy it! Cows LOVE this, but little dogs do not.
We are happy to do most things for pets including grooming, feeding, walking, playing, cuddling, cleaning litter and sending many pictures so you know your companion is safe, happy and loved.
Animals we can confidently care for:
Cats, dogs, guinea pigs, rabbits, birds
Any special requests, questions or any worries I can help to soothe please just reach out!
