Heya! Im a local dog walker and sitter available to provide the best walks, plays and care for your special pup. Pets of all shapes, sizes and ages are accepted. I am an experienced pet owner since I have a beautiful and very energetic border collie of my own, meaning I am up for the challenge if your dog needs some extra time to burn off some energy. I am patient and willing to spend extra time on those who need additional care and energy. Whether your pet is shy, friendly, excited or even a little bit nervous I will be there to cater to their needs. I am happy to take your pet for a walk, play, swim on the beach or even just some at home care and feeding. My hours are very flexible especially over the summer season and I am open to discuss any arrangements or additional requests to ensure you and your fury friend are happy with my service. Working from home gives me plenty of flexibility to provide attentive care, I take Doug for beach walks so your dog can join me and this is a pawsome chance for Douglas to build his social skills. He’s fully trained, vaccinated, and social, and gets along great with other dogs. I would take no more than 1 dog at a time currently so I can provide supervised care&nbsp;
With five years of dog-sitting experience, I am passionate animal lovers who treat every pet like our own. We prioritise a safe, loving environment, so we’re seeking vaccinated, toilet-trained dogs only at this time.

I am a mature, vibrant kiwi women who has always been a bit of a gypsy. Having lived in Asia and Australia for the past 20+ years I returned three years ago to my homeland. I have been house-sitting since then taking care of cats of and dogs and sometimes farm animals.&nbsp;
I am a big lover of nature and the bounty of creatures that inhabit it. I find myself somewhat of an animal whisperer. It's rare that I don't find a connection. I am presently working from home with and have background in arts and wellbeing.&nbsp;
I find it really important to have a good connection with home owners, to understand the needs of their pets and to make sure we are a good fit for each other. I also really enjoy building a relationship for repeat sits.

I'm Taylah, a 22 year-old and recent Bachelor of Science graduate from The University of Auckland. I have been around animals for majority of my life, growing up with a cat and a dog in my family home and dedicating much of time in my teenage years to riding and caring for horses. I currently own and look after my pony Sharki. 
I am fairly new to advertising my services on Pawshake, I have experience pet-sitting and house-sitting for people through word of mouth and the facebook community page for my local area.&nbsp;I am also keen to extend my house-sitting services outside of the local area. 
My previous pet-sitting experience consists of caring for a wide variety of animals including dogs (small and large), cats, horses, chickens, pigs, lambs, sheep, fish and guinea pigs. I'm also happy to keep up with general house maintenance such as plant watering and house chores and these can be flexible based on your needs. I am happy to provide references on request and to meet with you and your pet prior to booking. 
Being based in Waimauku, I am happy to house-sit and pet-sit anywhere in Waimauku, Kumeu, Riverhead, Coatesville, Taupaki &amp; Hobsonville, but I am also open to any areas closer to the city as this would place me closer to where I work throughout the week.

My motivation to become a pet sitter comes from a love for animals, especially dogs. I have two dogs of my own, a Jack Russell and a Maltese-Jack Russell mix, both of who have taught me so much about the importance of providing attentive and loving care. Through my experience caring for them and other families pets, I’ve developed a deep understanding of their needs and personalities and know how to properly care for them and to make sure they get all the walks and activity that they need.
My partner has also cared for many dogs, and I've been fortunate to share in this passion. Together, we have gained valuable experience looking after dogs of all sizes and breeds for others while they are away, and all our experiences have been incredibly positive. I truly enjoy the opportunity to bond with new dogs and ensure they feel comfortable and happy in a familiar and loving environment. I often like taking younger energetic dogs down to the beach or a park and making sure they get plenty of time to run around and play and for older dogs I love taking them on a slow relaxed walk at their pace.
