I am a second-year university student looking to save some extra money to support my studies. I absolutely love animals (especially cats and rabbits ), and I am always happy to help friends and family with their care. My family and I have always had animals in our home. While this has mostly been cats and some dogs, we have also had birds at different stages. Currently at home, we have my darling bunny, Snowy Joe, and my beautiful cat, Matewies.
Through my experience caring for our pets, I am confident in looking after animals, including grooming them regularly, cleaning up after them, playing with them, and ensuring they are healthy and well cared for and safe. Pet sitting would be such a fun and rewarding opportunity for me, especially after moving away from home, as I have been very homesick for my own pets.
I am available for daytime home check-ins as well as overnight stays. This includes with or without animals. I would prefer to care for cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, fish, birds, and small dogs. ️️️

I also spent over a year feeding and providing daily care for farm animals, including goats, kunekune pigs, horses, bunnies, chickens, ducks, and turkeys, and I have years of experience as a babysitter, petsitter, and camp counselor. I have administered oral medicines to dogs and cats and ointments on farm animals, as well as provided basic grooming services like nail clipping, brushing, and bathing. I am detail-oriented, gentle, and patient, so I can accomodate any quirks or shyness your pets may have! 
I have a dog and two cats at home in the United States that I miss dearly and used to walk and play with every day. Therefore, I understand how stressful it can be to entrust someone else with your pet and how much it means to have someone who loves and cares for your pet as much as you do. I am happy to discuss details and meet you and/or your pet beforehand to make sure everything is in order. I love being outdoors and can take your pet anywhere near your house, such as the beach or a nearby hiking trail. My name is Maegan and I am a trained, professional dog walker with 18 months experience. I have worked for both Hound Hikes in Wellington and currently work with K9 Trails Dog Adventures in Dunedin, where I've been employed for the past year. I have completed a pet first aid course and received a certificate in animal first aid. Through these roles I've cared for dogs of all sizes, temperaments, energy levels, and I'm confident handling anything from relaxed neighbourhood walks to adventurous outings. 
I am a third year student at the University of Otago with hands-on experience caring for animals. My timetable and availability is flexible and I have my own car and my full drivers license.

Taking dogs on training runs alongside me for company is something I genuinely love.

I’ve always grown up with family dogs (retrievers, labs, and a few rescues) and I’ve also walked dogs for people in my local community. Through doggy daycares and helping out around my mum’s rally-o and obedience training, I’ve gained hands on experience working with energetic, well-trained dogs who thrive on both physical and mental stimulation. I’m confident handling strong pullers, high-energy breeds, and dogs who are still refining their lead manners.

Spending time in nature is one of my favourite things, and having a four-legged running buddy makes it even better. While I’m not currently race training, when I am my long runs can reach up to 12km, so I’m looking for a dog (or multiple dogs) that can comfortably handle that distance. On lighter weeks, I’m equally happy with relaxed 1–3km walks or shorter runs of up to 5km.

I will be available to do dog walking on most days, and I will do house sitting in the weekends&nbsp; or fridays(week days can be discussed). I have house sit for a dog before.I love animals but cats especially! My whole life, I have grown up and been with pet dogs, cats, and even a pet turtle too. I know how to behave with animals, and I'll be responsible with any lovely pet.I'm very fit, and I run daily.
