I'm on Pawshake primarily because I'm missing my dog back home in England after being out here in NZ for about a year and having just moved away from a house that was supplying my dose of animal love! 
I'm looking for all sorts of opportunities - dog walking, home visits, and overnight visits. I don't have a car, so my fees cover travel costs and food for me :)
My experience? 
I have spent my entire life with animals, primarily dogs. I have grown up being involved in the process of caring for them - walking, feeding, playing etc. 
I also have a lot of experience in taking care of other people's pets. I already walk one dog on Tuesdays, and have done a 2 night pet sit here in Wellington since moving here a couple of months ago. 
I've spent weeks at my Uncle's house looking after his dog, and have walked various family friends' dogs growing up. I have experience with all sizes! Labradors, stocky staffies etc.
In the last year I looked after the cat at my family's house in QT. We bonded very well and I miss her already hahaha. I've done a few cat sits for my neighbour's outdoor cat back in England as well, feeding, playing, and just sitting with her. 
I'm up for anything and would love the opportunity to add your beloved animals to the mix!

All of my pet sitting experience has been at the pet owner's houses. My house is in the city and not very accessible or particularly suitable for a dog - so I'm primarily looking for work to do with walking or caring for your cat/dog at your house.
During week days I work in the evenings from 4pm for 7-8 hours, so house sitting is only available on weekends! Anything else is on the cards all week-long :)

Hi I'm a proud owner of a Westie called Reggie. He is very social and loves sharing our home with other dogs.
Im a Registered Nurse who works with Wellington's most vulnerable women who love my dog. My life revolve around my commitment to community service, enriching the lives of the women I work with, my friends and family and of course Reggie my dog who has changed my life. 
Reggie and I love a very active and sociable life together which involves lovely bush walks, trips to the beach and visiting various friends who share my love of people, nature and all animals.
I also have a cat called Louis so am very familiar with all things feline. I would love to share my time with you pets and welcome them into my home or Reggie and I could pop over to your home for visits and walks. 
I enjoy getting to know fellow dog owners and lovers and getting a good idea about what their expectations are of a dog walker. I also make sure that I take special care to really be to know each dog that I walk, ensuring that their special needs and personalities are cherished. It's very important to me that all the dogs I spend time with feel safe in my company and they have a wonderful time.

I am a mental health support worker by profession. Currently working part-time due to a shoulder injury I sustained earlier this year. I, unfortunately, cannot return to work fulltime in the near future so decided to chase my next best dream - fur babies .&nbsp;I have a beautiful 8 month old female rottie and I trained her myself. She is my ride or die. So I am capable to look after yours. I grew up with dogs and cats and now having one of my own makes me proud but one is never enough haha, so I will be more than grateful to walk, play or sit your fur babies while you work or vacation. I will be your pet's second best friend . My dog (Akira) loves other dogs (big/small/puppies), kids and people. If you want play mates for your fur babies she will be happy to join. I enjoy long walks/hikes if you fur babies need to burn some energy. I also, always have treats on me if your babies are allowed to have some and are food motivated.&nbsp;I am free from 10.30am-5pm most days. I can administer medication and feed your pets. Walks will generally be an hour long but can be extended on owners request. I could walk your dogs around the blocks or take them to close by parks. I currently don't have a car so I cannot drive your pets around.&nbsp;

I am a mature Mum to both furry and human children. I grew up around farm animals and then as an adult owned a farm, hence have always been around dogs, horses, cats, cows and fish :) (tropical marine fish in particular).&nbsp;
I trained our 3 boxers from puppies all at different stages and all of different personalities: 1 in the UK and 2 in NZ. Living on a farm in Nelson we also had 3 miniature horses and plenty of cows, chickens and fish.  I have a medical degree and have regularly participated in the medical care of all our animals, including hands on care. I now enjoy cuddles from my daughter's Cane Corsos and looking after other people's furry babies, as currently have no pets at home. I miss them and am always keen to help anyone out and get my cuddles in return. 
I have plenty of experience with dogs and with cats of all ages, having looked after both. I have cared for dogs from puppies to the elderly, hence I can take part in continuing training as well as starting basic training. I enjoy my daily walks around the Bays and that would only be made more enjoyable having a furry companion.&nbsp;
I am currently semi-retired and as such I am flexible during the day and also in the evenings. I am available for house sitting, both short and long term, if needed. I can also attend Vet visits if need be, as I have worked closely with Vets in the past.  
Overall, I am looking forward to being able to help you and your fur babies in whatever needs you may have and get some fur baby time in return!&nbsp;

I'm Emma. I'm an Antarctic earth scientist and love all things outdoors, animals and the ocean. I had several pets growing up including chickens, cats and sheep and was often put in charge of looking after them. My partner Ethan, is a software engineer and is lucky enough to have grown up with several cats and dogs.&nbsp;
While we would love to get pets of our own, we unfortunately live in a rental that is not pet friendly, so we would love to look after your pets as if they were our own! Due to not having pets for a long time, there is plenty of extra love to go round!
Ethan and I have done various house/pet sitting gigs for colleagues and friends and loved it immensely. We love to get outside and walk with doggos and cuddle inside with cats. As quick learners we hope to adapt to your pets specific needs and provide a wonderful pet sitting experience for everyone involved.
While Emma works in a lab and has to keep regular hours, Ethan has an office job where he can easily work from home if there are pets that require care throughout the day. We can offer both long and short term pet sitting - and would love to hear from you!

I'm a uni student who loves animals. I have a cat of my own (he's almost a year old) and I live with another cat of my flatmates.
I grew up with many pets in my home from big dogs to small bunnies! I would love to take care of your pet. I love pet sitting because I can help others, provide some love to pets and have that connection with animals back! It also encourages me to get out and about walking with your pets!

Kia ora! I have a variety of fun-loving experiences with cats, dogs, birds, and fish from previous pet-owning experiences.&nbsp;
I have a love for animals and spending time outdoors! Making sure I bring my old border collie (and sometimes my adventurous cat too!) on all my adventures, whether that be on ski roadtrips around the South Island, or around the block in the neighbourhood to soak up the sunshine.&nbsp;
I have previously been a volunteer at the local vet, taking care of cats and dogs alike. I had hands-on dog tasks like feeding 30+ dogs come breakfast or dinnertime, taking them for walks up to five at a time, and plenty of washing of dog beds and other associated pet laundry. I made sure all the wonderful cats staying in the cattery got lots of love and affection to create a calm and peaceful space for them to relax and enjoy their stay.


I'm an experienced pet sitter born and bred in the capital city! I have as much energy as a golden retriever, love getting outdoors, and work in the environmental industry. Currently interviewing for  new roles in the city, so can be freely available to keep your pets company during the day!&nbsp;
I worked for four summers with the Dog Protection Society (DPS) in Auckland, training and looking after abandoned and abused dogs, and the short-term kennel stays. I have a degree in zoology, and have had a passion for animals ever since I was little and pleaded for a furry companion from my parents!
I have vast experience dog sitting my friend's German Shepard and Golden Retriever, but have experience with breeds big and small during my work in the kennels. I had a cat growing up, and also looked after my friends bunnies, and of course the classic fish in the office.&nbsp;
