I have multiple years of experience working with animals, including volunteering for SPCA and HUHA (Helping you help animals) with both the small and rural animal teams. I have also been housesitting for the last five years, which has included looking after cows, sheep, horses, pigs, dogs, cats, rats, and the list goes on! Although I am new to Pawshake, I have many trusted references from housesitting which I am more than happy to share with you. I am also comfortable with giving medications, and working with all types of animals, including those that have protective and reactive behaviours.

I’m a Wellington-based professional with a background in the New Zealand Defence Force, as well as previous experience working in Government and enforcement roles. Across these roles, I’ve spent years working in high-trust environments that require calm decision-making, strong communication, and the ability to handle complex or challenging situations.

I’ve always had a genuine love for dogs and enjoy spending time outdoors, so dog walking is something I’m building alongside my full-time work. What I offer is reliability, consistency, and a calm, confident approach with all types of dogs.

I love all dogs and have a soft spot for the elderly dogs of the city. I have an 8 year old French Bulldog x Pug who may accompany me on some walks, with your permission and assuming your dog and her get along.

No experience with bird aviary, budgies parrots ect but happy to take and follow instructions.

Our home features a fully fenced property (photos available) with a private garden, located right across the road from a beautiful park for daily walks. We provide toys, bedding, blankets, and treats. We also have a separate sleepout available if your pet prefers a quiet, private space.&nbsp;
My husband works full-time but is home on some afternoons and evenings. My son is well-trained to respect animal boundaries and loves helping out by tossing a ball or handing out treats if your pet enjoys playing. &nbsp;
Whether you have an upcoming trip or an emergency, I would love to help. I'm very flexible with drop-off and pick-up times. We can work out what works best for your needs.
