I am a second-year university student looking to save some extra money to support my studies. I absolutely love animals (especially cats and rabbits ), and I am always happy to help friends and family with their care. My family and I have always had animals in our home. While this has mostly been cats and some dogs, we have also had birds at different stages. Currently at home, we have my darling bunny, Snowy Joe, and my beautiful cat, Matewies.
Through my experience caring for our pets, I am confident in looking after animals, including grooming them regularly, cleaning up after them, playing with them, and ensuring they are healthy and well cared for and safe. Pet sitting would be such a fun and rewarding opportunity for me, especially after moving away from home, as I have been very homesick for my own pets.
I am available for daytime home check-ins as well as overnight stays. This includes with or without animals. I would prefer to care for cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, fish, birds, and small dogs. ️️️

Hi, I’m Lola! I grew up in a rural community surrounded by animals, and caring for pets has always been a huge part of my life. I’m currently in my third year of university studying a double degree, and alongside my studies I work part-time, which has helped me become responsible, organised, and reliable.
One of the things I miss most about being away from home is my own pets. I grew up with two wonderful dogs: Coco, our chocolate Labrador, and Maggie, our big Bearded Collie. We also have a black cat called Beau, a turtle named Boris, and a bird called Buddy. Having such a variety of pets has given me experience caring for different personalities, routines, and needs.
I live a very active lifestyle and walk every day, whether it’s along the waterfront, through the Dunedin Botanical Gardens, or around St Clair Beach. I would genuinely love to have a furry companion join me on these walks. I’m also known to stop for a coffee and a puppychino along the way!
I offer dog walking services ranging from 30 minutes to 1 hour, depending on your pet’s needs and energy levels. Walks can include beach outings, scenic walks, or slower-paced neighbourhood strolls for older dogs. I also offer home visits for feeding, company, toilet breaks, and check-ins. Since I hold a full driver’s licence, I’m able to travel to your home and provide flexible care around my study and work schedule.
I’m most experienced with dogs and cats and I’m comfortable caring for animals of different ages and temperaments. My goal is always to make your pet feel safe, loved, and well looked after while giving owners complete peace of mind. Whether your pet needs an energetic walking buddy, a caring visitor during the day, or simply some extra attention and company, I would love the opportunity to help.

I currently have two dogs of my own. I was raised with pets and from my teen years onwards was very involved in their exercise and training. I'm a huge lover of animals and nothing makes me happier than seeing them fulfilled and well taken care of. I have experience pet sitting and dog walking which I’ve done in both Canada and NZ. Comfortable with feeding, walking, low maintenance grooming and vet visits.I love being outdoors and am making a conscious effort to spend more time outside, what better way to do this than with a dog by my side. I am up for all sorts of walks/ adventures to suit your needs. I am happy to do walks from 30 mins - 1 hr , locally to you or a short distance driving.I will always check in around training and what your exercise goals are for your pets. I will happily walk up to two dogs for a small additional fee. I am more than happy to send updates or pictures during/after walks if this is something you would like.
I am confident with most sizes and breeds and have experience with rescues as both of mine are and as well as my brothers and mums. I also have experience with reactivity as my oldest is dog selective and we have had to work very hard to get to where we are now. I have had my second dog since he was a puppy and have helped my mum out with training her puppy. I am also confident around cats.
I currently do not offer care in my home but am happy to check in on pets in yours.
I am very flexible around regularity and timing as I am only working casually at the moment, of course I would update you if this changed.

Hi! I've worked in pet care for many years, and have just moved to Dunedin!
I am an animal care professional with experience working with lots of different species. I’ve been a pet carer since the beginning of 2019, however I have worked and volunteered at a variety of animal sanctuaries and zoos for the last 6 years. I also hold a level 3 diploma in animal management and am DBS (criminal record) checked for your peace of mind. Because of this I am not limited to just cats and dogs. If you have any other pets, such as parrots, hamsters, snakes or stick insects that need to be cared for drop me a message to discuss it further! I absolutely love getting to know your furbabies, their likes and dislikes; good (and bad!) habits, and particularly enjoy continuing training that you may already be doing with them. I tailor each booking to both the pets needs and the owners wishes, whether you have a cat that likes to be left to their own devices, or a dog who loves running around and playing with other dog friends! After each booking I’ll send at least one photo of your pet and a short description of what we got up to, any changes in behaviour, new friends made, or anything else of note. Any cats and dogs must be vaccinated.
Dog walking
Dog walks can be 30 minutes and upwards. They can be on lead, off lead, and always involve lots of cuddles and fun!
Drop in visits
Drop in visits are great for cats, small pets, or even if your dog just needs a playtime while you're at work. They can involve a playtime, pee break, litter tray or enclosure cleaning and more! It's up to you. I'll even take your bins out if you're away!

Hello! My name is Haley and I absolutely love animals especially dogs. Myself and my family have owned dogs all my life and my partner and I have our own wee dog and I also have a family dog that I am the sole carer of.
While in highschool I would walk dogs as a bit of money on the side and I absolutely loved it. I would walk 3 dogs at once and would do this multiple times a week. I have also pet sitted for many friends and family and have had great reviews from them back. I have looked after cats and kittens aswell as dogs and puppies. I would walk them or even take them on a drive so they get out of the house if they were a bit older and long walks weren't for them.
I have owned small and large dogs so I am more than capible of handling large dogs. I have an adult German Shepard and a 3 year old Labrador so I'm use to a bit of pulling.
I would prefer to have only vaccinated dogs around my own dogs but can be flexible around this if needed.
Feel free to message or get in contact with me if you have any other questions or concerns. I am more than happy to answer.
I look forward to hearing from you and meeting your pets.
Haley

Hi my name is Jane. I live in Dunedin our dog Stanley and cat Flo.
I have a deep affection for all pets, my favourites being dogs. I would have to say walking Stan is the favourite part of my day. Both our pets are on long term medication, so i have an understanding of the committment needed around caring for a pet and the importance of routine/feeding/medication needs.
I would be happy to dog walk, visit homes for pet care or even house sit where needed.
Knowing how important our pets are to the family dynamic I can appreciate peoples need for a reliable, trustworthy person to attend to their pets every wish and demand. I would be happy with both cats and dogs and from walking a big dog to keeping a cat company whilst watching its favourite tv show. The things we do for pets.

Hi I'm Emily.
I’m 23 and recently graduated from the University of Otago with a double degree in Law and Arts. I currently work as a law clerk at a family law firm here in Dunedin and also teach vinyasa yoga in my spare time.
I’m new to this app, but definitely not new to caring for animals! I grew up surrounded by pets: dogs, cats, fish, and even rabbits. I’ve always been the go-to pet sitter for family and friends. My family dog Bella dog is my family's absolute pride and joy, and I’m used to looking after more than one furry friend at a time.
I’m active, outdoorsy, and love long walks, especially on the beach at St Kilda, where I also volunteer as a lifeguard. Whether your pup loves adventures or just prefers cozy cuddles on the couch, I’m happy to match their energy.
I completely understand how stressful it can be to leave your pets behind, especially in busy kennels. My goal is to keep your pets happy, calm, and comfortable in their own environment while you’re away. I’m more than happy to stay at your home and stick to your pet’s usual routine to make things as smooth as possible.
If you’d like to chat or learn more about how I can help, flick me a message — I’d love to meet you and your furry family member!

I'm Lulu, a Taiwanese traveler currently on a working holiday in New Zealand, planning to go to Dunedin or Christchurch starting from Jan 10th.Back in Taiwan, I worked as an experienced veterinarian, so you can completely trust me to take care of your dogs and cats.

I absolutely love animals and get along very well with both dogs and cats. I'm also responsible and dedicated in everything I do.I fully respect how each person chooses to care for their pets, so if there’s anything specific you want me to pay attention to, I’ll be sure to follow your instructions.
After all, you are the one who knows your furry friend best.
If you're interested, I'm also happy to chat with you about pet health topics. Of course, since veterinary practices may differ between countries, your family vet’s advice should always come first.
I have my own car, so I’m flexible with locations—feel free to reach out and discuss what works best!

Moreover, I'm also familiar with rabbits, birds and hamster.
Can't wait to meet them!

I have previous experience caring for both dogs and cats of different ages, sizes, and personalities. My experience includes feeding, walking, playtime, basic grooming, and providing companionship. I am attentive to each pet’s individual needs and routines, and I always aim to create a calm and stress-free environment. I take pride in being dependable and attentive, and my goal is to give pet owners peace of mind by providing loving, trustworthy care for their pets while they are away

Hi!
I'm Liv, I am a student in Dunedin studying vet nursing. I have just completed my first year and while I am on break I am looking for some extra work doing something I enjoy and love!
I have grown up with pets my whole life and have had plenty of experience dog walking my own dog and others as well. I am wanting to do this as it is something I enjoy and being around animals would be a great way to spend my time. I am confident with animals of any kind, making sure your pet in vaccinated is preferred!
I am confident caring for animals and have found plenty of fun walking spots throughout Dunedin and surrounding areas.
Contact me via text or email if you would like someone experienced and willing to give the best care possible to take care of your pets or walk your dog!

I will be available to do dog walking on most days, and I will do house sitting in the weekends or fridays(week days can be discussed). I have house sit for a dog before.I love animals but cats especially! My whole life, I have grown up and been with pet dogs, cats, and even a pet turtle too. I know how to behave with animals, and I'll be responsible with any lovely pet.I'm very fit, and I run daily. If you have an active pet that needs more rigorous exercise, then I can absolutely help with that!As a university student, I often find that my weekends are free, so I would be an ideal choice if you needed to leave for the weekend.I think being a pet sitter is cool because I get to meet new animals! As I live in a flat, I would be limited in house sitting for your pet—there are no pets allowed in my accommodation.I'm new to pet sitting specifically, but I have worked in hospitality before, so I possess a good work ethic, and I am dependable.
