Anyone who knows me knows that animals are at the top of my favorites list :-), after my Family of course. My first pet, when I was 3 years old, was a Maltese Terrier called Caesar. When I was almost 5 years old, we found a ginger cat called Fifi (a neighbour's cat) had had a litter under our house. Naturally, I wanted one, so our next addition to the Family was Puddles, named because he would put his wee paw into the bowl of milk, then made wee puddles on the cork tiles. And these two were the first of many pets to come. Unfortunately, there are few photos of me with any of my pets due to being camera-shy.  I have an absolute truckload of all sorts of animals in my gallery, though.
Since my 'living at home' years, I have had several pets, including cats, dogs, an assortment of birds, pigs, tropical fish, rabbits &amp; guinea pigs.                                                                                                                I once had a wee kitten follow me home from the fruit &amp; vege shop whilst living on Norfolk Island. After many trips trying to take the wee one back to the shop, the owner decided the kitten wanted to live with me! I named her Tiffany (after trying out the name 'Tiddles').
At one time, my aviary had around 50 birds (including babies, as I ended up breeding) a lot of the parent birds were rescues.  At that same time, I had the guinea pigs, cat &amp; dog.  One of the guinea pigs, Maple, was a rescue &amp; so was our dog, Snoopy.                 Throughout this time, I also babysat friends' pet cats &amp; dogs.     Once Snoopy passed away, I decided not to have any more pets due to losing more of myself with each pet, each time, but life had other ideas..... our daughters shouted a weekend away on my own for Mother's Day &amp; I naturally came back with the resident motel cat that really wasn't being treated very well. The motel manager was due to retire &amp; was concerned that 'Bill' would not survive well.                                  Which brings me to the present.                                                                As I'm no longer in the workforce, this will mean I have more free time to spend with your little family members.                                                              I'm 63, have been married to my husband, Neville, for 29 years &amp; we have two very competent, clever daughters who are both registered with Pawshake also.                                                                                We moved to Ashburton from Rolleston, where we lived for 18 years. My name is Jema and I am 42 years old, I grew up in the uk and moved to nz in 2012. I have always had a pet from small rodents to big dogs. I use to train golden retrievers in my teens and also helped at dog rescue centre. When I lived in the country side I use to help out on a farm so you could say i have had a lot of experience with animals!
I have worked on the health and insurance sector for other 24 years and I'm very keen on fitness and the outdoors. I have a variety of experience with walking different breeds of dogs from different back grounds; pets, Rescue dogs even the occasional dog that went on an adventure but forgot to tell their parents.
I will work to form a bond with your pet so a sense of trust, safety and freedom can be enjoyed by all.
Dog walking - I am offering dog walks, company time (if suitable on a farm setting or your own home) medication administration and all important meal times . I will either walk the dog from your home to a nearby park or drive depending on the distance. The dog will get the exercise from either a gentle stroll to a jog and with some doggie social interaction. (Your dog might get a better social diary than you!) I do have a full driver's licence to go to dog parks or simply see the views from the local country side. I will of course provide those important keep sakes of photos and videos of just how much fun you 4 legged family member is having. My dog walks are a minimum of an hour I like to ensure they have had a good run.
Additional I can house sit over night at yours
 or offer a break away at mine for a day or night. This will need some arranging and instruction of what your pet likes and
 dislike, after all it's about keeping their routine! I'm super clean and tidy , abit like Monica from friends so you need not worry if I'm at yours. Thanks for reading.

I have previous experience over the last 5 years house sitting, baby sitting, and also pet sitting I have my own kitten and many family pets that I just adore I would look after your fur babies as if they were my own showing them the deepest affection and taking them on adventures to burn some energy. I am also confident in bathing your favourite pet after our adventures to ensure your home environment is staying clean. I can also help to ensure your pet is following an effective exercise routine catering to their specific needs. I have great communication and will keep you up to date with how your pet is getting on during the day even including adorable photos of your loved one not only gaining your trust but also your wonderful pets trust I am willing to help gain your pets trust by taking them routine walking and playing with their favourite toy. 
I know how to response in accidents or natural disasters and can also have your preferred vets information easily accessible at all times
