April 2925 update: we have recently got a puppy cavoodle so are unable to do any dog sitting for the next few months. Sorry for any inconvenience.My name is Eleanor and I am a teacher at a local primary school. My husband, Steve, is recently retired and at home during the days.&nbsp;

We had a chocolate brown Labrador for 16 years, who immigrated from England with us to NZ when he was 15. His name was Barney and he loved swimming. He came to work with us every day in our florist in London and was well known with everyone in the area.&nbsp;
We can look after fully vaccinated dogs who are friendly around other dogs. We can also take your dog for walks or check in on them if you're working.

My motivation to become a pet sitter comes from a love for animals, especially dogs. I have two dogs of my own, a Jack Russell and a Maltese-Jack Russell mix, both of who have taught me so much about the importance of providing attentive and loving care. Through my experience caring for them and other families pets, I’ve developed a deep understanding of their needs and personalities and know how to properly care for them and to make sure they get all the walks and activity that they need.

I specialise mainly in cats and dogs, but have looked after misc. other animals including chickens, reptiles, rabbits, guinea pigs, rats and fish. Dogs are done on a case by case basis depending on my availability and size of the dog (I have trouble walking larger dogs).&nbsp;&nbsp;
My services as pet minder/pet sitter is to visit your home once a day to tend to all your pet(s)' needs, which will always include pet feeding, filling up their water bowls and off course lots of attention and reassurance! I can also offer other services as pet sitter/pet minder i.e. cleaning of cages. Happy to water plants (within reason) and clear mailbox put out garbage etc. too.

I have pet/housesat previously for two families, a total of three dogs and a cat, and have also fostered two kittens on behalf of the SPCA. I have administered oral medications. Other services include dog walking, check ups in the evenings during weekdays, anytime on weekends, grooming/brushing, walks and generally keeping them company. I am an open communicator and will ensure you get regular updates. I am more than happy to come to their home and spend time with them while you are away or if they need a bit more company!
I leave early for work in the morning but can be flexible in the evenings and weekends. I work from home two days a week (usually Wednesday and Thursday), so any locations close by I can visit during lunchtimes. Flexible anytime on weekends.
