Many cat owners will understand that cats can be fussy and prefer their own home environment rather than an unfamiliar place like a cattery or cat hotel. Although some cats can adapt to cat boarding if they have to, most cats become stressed when transported somewhere new.

This is where a friendly Hamilton Pawshake cat feeder or carer can help. Our Hamilton cat sitting expert can come and visit your cat while you are away on holiday or at work. A cat sitter can even stay overnight if required, which is far less stressful than sending your feline friend to a cattery for cat boarding. Whether you just need a sitter for a couple of hours or someone to visit each day for a week, our Hamilton cat sitters can tailor their service to suit you and please even the fussiest kitty.

Although most cats are independent, having a cat carer visit has a lot of benefits. Your chosen Pawshake cat sitter can feed, freshen up the water bowl, tidy the litter tray, and spend quality time with your cat. And unlike a cattery or cat hotel, your cat can chill out in their own familiar space.

Finally, every booking with Pawshake is with a verified carer and includes the Pawshake Guarantee and veterinary coverage, so you have nothing to worry about when it comes to your feline companion!

My name is Belinda, and I am a 25 year old mum to an adorable 5 year old tortoiseshell cat, and a new mum to my sweet human baby.
I have been feeding cats for the duration of my maternity leave and I absolutely fell in-love with it. Looking after all the cutest and sweetest little furry friends has been such a pleasure, and I would love to continue looking after and making more furry friends.
Animals are a passion of mine, as I grew up on a farm and was always surrounded by plenty of them. Taking care of them came naturally to me, yet I am always learning new things about them and I love it.
Because I am a mum of my beautiful baby (cat) I understand the stress of leaving them for any duration of time, so that is why I want to become a full time pet feeder, as I want you to feel comfortable knowing your baby is in safe and caring hands while you are away.
I am only offering feedings at this time, as I am also a full time mum to my 6 month old (human) baby.

ABOUT ME: Kia ora! I'm Luna and I'm a postgraduate student at The University of Waikato. My husband and I are a child-free couple & used to have two furbabies in the Philippines. Since Philippines in not in the approved list of NZ to transport pets from, we couldn't get them here YET because we need to save up for full pet migration agency service. Our babies are Aloy (female, local Filipino dog breed) and Kylo (a mixed breed Beagle and Bully; unfortunately, he died just last October 17, 2024 due to blood parasitism and it broke our hearts totally).
MOTIVATION: While saving up funds to get Aloy. here in NZ, I'm looking to channel my love for furbabies here and earn some extra income through dogsitting. I also wish to do this as part of honoring Kylo's life. It would be nice to help families take care of their furbabies while they are away of have some other tasks to attend to in a day. It would be a great pleasure for me.
NEIGHBORHOOD: I live in Hamilton East and have a good neighborhood and clean pathwalks for dog walks. It is accessible to nearby parks like Galloway Park, Steele Park, and all the way to Hayes Paddock and the river walk.
AVAILABILITY: I'm relatively free during the Summer break, and can be available late afternoons and evenings during the semester.

We are Peter and Milly, together we are PillyPets! We are from London but travelling in New Zealand on a working holiday visa. We both grew up with pets, bunny rabbits and cats but we love all animals and can't wait to meet you and your pets.
We haven't been able to have our own pets in London but it would be amazing to take care of pets along the way on our travels. We have been house sitting since November 2024 in NZ, travelling around in a campervan and we've met so many lovely people and pets.We have years of experience taking care of small and medium sized dogs and in the last few months we have experience caring for large dogs also. We also have years of experience taking care of cats, Peter's family have lots of British Shorthair cats and we have also pet sit for cats and dogs sit on other pet sitting websites.

Hello! My name is Rochelle, and I am a passionate and dedicated pet sitter with a love for animals of all kinds. I believe every pet deserves care, attention, and affection while their owners are away. My motivation for becoming a pet sitter comes from my deep love of animals and my desire to help pet owners feel at ease when they need to travel or be away from home.
I have always been surrounded by pets and have years of experience caring for them, from walking dogs to administering medications and providing special care for senior animals. I understand how important it is for pets to maintain their routines and stay in a comfortable, familiar environment. That’s why I take a personalised approach to pet sitting, ensuring that each pet receives the love and attention they need.
I pride myself on being reliable, responsible, and attentive. When you choose me as your pet sitter, you can trust that your pet will be in capable hands, treated with kindness, and given the best care possible.

I enjoy spending time with cats and giving them the attention they need — feeding, cleaning up, and just being there to keep them company. I understand how important it is to have someone reliable and gentle looking after your pet, and I’ll treat your fur baby with care and respect.

I also enjoy taking nice photos and videos of your cat during each visit, so you’ll always know how they’re doing. Please feel free to check out my profile for some examples

What I offer:
Cat sitting/home visits
Feeding and basic litter tray cleaning
Quiet companionship and playtime
Daily photo and video updates
Flexible weekday/weekend availability

Whether you need someone to pop in once a day or check in regularly while you’re away, I’ll do my best to make sure your cat feels comfortable and cared for.

Looking forward to meeting you and your lovely pet

Hello my awesome pet owner, my name is Jigar and I'm here to help your lovely pets with lots of love, care, cuddles and most importantly exercise.
I have been working with HAMILTON SPCA as a volunteer since October 2022 and I have worked with all kinds of dogs and I'm still doing it. I walk dogs, clean there runs, give them training and exercise and of course lots of love.
I make sure they behave in a good manner and also keeps records of their progress. I have worked with lots of abused and bad behavior dogs and by giving them right amount of exercise and training they have been doing great since then.
My service will be walking dogs and also record their behavior. I'll do some exercise and make sure they behave in a good manner, stay calm and relaxed and of course give them lots of love, cuddles and treats as a reward.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
Before walking your dog I would like to know more about your dog and their behavior around your family members and around other people from your experience.
I would suggest you to provide treats and food as I don't want to give them something which could be allergic or harmful to them.
I would also suggest you to provide toys
I'm quite flexible with my availability so you can message me anytime and we can book an appointment.
