I have been working with and around animals most my life, I grew up on a dairy farm. My parents breed cattle, sheep, goats and parrots.
I was lucky enough to be able to help and gain a ton of knowledge in my childhood. 
When I was a teenager, my parents opened up an exotic pet shop.

They breed a majority of the birds and reptiles they sold, I gained so much experience dealing with exotic animals over this period. My specialty is Aquatics, I have done a few Aquatics course, as well as Companion Animal Services.
At one stage I had over 40 aquariums, and ended up with a fish room in the paddock.
My parents now run the pet store from home, and have an acre filled with aviaries, where they breed many exotic parrots. They have also built a new house with rooms specifically made for rearing birds, reptiles and even bugs.

The pet Industry is a huge passion of mine, I worked within the industry for over 15 years and managed a large pet store for 5 years. I have owned and rehabilitated many animals over the years, I was quite passionate with helping unwanted dogs find homes back in Te Awamutu.

I currently own a English x Bull Mastiff named Kai, he is 3 year old gentle giant who grew up in the pet store. 
I am National manager at All Heart Nz, but I have free time and would love to work with animals again. Pet sitting is one way I can, and I would like to be able to help someone take care of the beloved fur/scales/feathered babies. I have a wealth of knowledge to make sure they are well cared for.
