My name is Hannah Burdan and I am 24 years old. I am friendly, punctual, reliable and trustworthy, with my full drivers license and car so I can travel all over the Wellington Region. I have always loved animals. I've grown up with dogs and cats, as well as rescued birds, hedgehogs, mice and more. I enjoy reading a good book, taking our doggies for walks and having cuddles, and hanging out with friends and family. 

My family has two dogs, a french bulldog called Nala and a pug called Pearl. I live at home with my family so I am not able to offer boarding or daycare at my house. However I am happily able to do Dog Walking, Once a day pet visits, Twice a day pet visits and/or House Sitting.

I have one and a half years of experience doing in-home pet feeding while owners were away, I fed them, cleaned litter trays and dishes as well as walking dogs and administering medication. I did ten months working in a cattery while I got my Certificate in Animal Technology (Vet Nursing Assistant). Through working at the cattery I was monitoring their health, cleaning and administering medications as needed. For the past three years I have been volunteering in the Wellington Zoo nutrition centre preparing food for the animals of the zoo. I usually volunteer on Tuesday mornings however I am flexible on which day I volunteer. I am also currently working as a casual for a dog daycare, they ask me to cover when someone is sick or wants to take leave, I will update my calendar as needed when I am asked to work. Through my work experience I understand how important it is for your pets to feel safe and comfortable while you are away.

This year I am going to be distance studying to become a zookeeper. The course starts on the 24th of February and I will have to attend a placement day at Wellington Zoo once a week from 7:30am-5pm on Thursdays. This will mean I am unavailable for dog walking and house visits on Thursdays however I am still happy to house sit as long as your pet does not mind being home alone for that one day.
