My name is Ashleigh, and I am an 18-year-old veterinary nursing student currently in my second year of study at EIT. I have always had a strong love and respect for animals, which is what motivated me to pursue a career in veterinary nursing and pet care. 

I have completed multiple months of work experience at a veterinary clinic, where I gained hands-on experience with animal handling, basic health monitoring, hygiene practices, and understanding animal behaviour. I've also volunteered at the Hastings SPCA. Alongside this, I have personal experience caring for my own two cats and a bird, as well as looking after dogs in a home environment. Through my studies at EIT, I have also cared for rabbits and guinea pigs, which has helped me become confident with small animals and their specific needs. I have also had experience with helping to take care of horses and chickens.

I am a responsible, patient, and gentle caregiver who understands how important routine, comfort, and trust are for pets. I treat every animal as if they were my own and aim to provide reliable, compassionate care. I look forward to meeting you and your pet/s and providing them with the best care possible while you are away.

I can only travel locally so in Hastings and Havelock North. Can make some exceptions for further travel
