Hi there! 

We’re Nicola, a long-time dog lover and experienced house sitter (7+ years), Özkan (partner and co-parent to Murphy), and Murphy, our wonderful mini labradoodle. We’d love to welcome your dog into our (small but loving) home for short and long term stays. 

A bit about us
Nicola is the primary caregiver and works full-time, with some days from home. She has also recently completed a Pet First Aid course, giving extra confidence in handling your dog’s wellbeing. Özkan works flexible hours while completing his registration as a nurse in New Zealand. This means that our dogs will have some time alone together, once confirmed safe to do so.  

Murphy is our two year old mini labradoodle. He can be a little shy at first but warms up and loves the company of other oodles and most small breeds. 

So far we’ve cared for a range of dogs, including Cavoodles, Spoodles, Pugs, Boston Terriers, Maltese crosses, and Pomeranians.  

Our services 

Dog boarding
Your dog will enjoy two daily walks (typically around 6:30am and 4:30pm) lasting 30–40 minutes, plus plenty of playtime, attention, and affection throughout the day. We’re happy to adjust walk times based on your dog’s needs, weather conditions, or your routine. 

During the week, we usually visit local parks such as Onehunga Lagoon/Reserve, Monte Cecilia, One Tree Hill, Waiatarua, and Ōrākei Basin. On weekends, we often head out for beach or bush adventures. 

While we’re not professional trainers, we’re happy to maintain any training routines you have in place.  

House sitting
We’re happy to consider house sitting depending on location, duration, and time of year. 

Dog walking
We can include your dog in our regular morning and/or afternoon walks. 

Your dog
To ensure a safe and happy environment, it’s important that your dog gets along with Murphy. We ask that dogs are friendly, vaccinated, house-trained, and have reasonable recall. They don’t need to be perfect as we’re happy to support ongoing training. At the moment we are only looking to host small/medium dogs.  

Our home & promise
We live in a ground-floor apartment with a secure, enclosed garden and several other dogs and dog-friendly neighbours. While our space is compact, it allows us to give your dog lots of attention and build a close bond. 

We understand that leaving your dog with someone new can feel daunting. We’ll do everything we can to make the experience comfortable, reassuring, and enjoyable for both you and your dog. Our goal is to give your dog a safe, loving “staycation” they’ll truly enjoy.
