Hey there! I'm Syd.

Originally from the US, I've been in New Zealand since 2015 after 7 years of living in Asia. Through the years (and in several countries), I've taken care of dogs, cats, birds, fish, farm animals, and more, sometimes for months at a time. I'm so excited to meet new animal friends here in the North Shore!

* I'm not currently accepting new dog walking or pet sitting clients, sorry!! I'm too busy with repeat clients! *

I have extensive experience with raw feeding, oral and injected medicines (dogs and cats), high-needs pets, needy animals, young and elderly animals, and more.

Before the first visit, I'll come over to meet your pet and see the lay of the land as well as get any special instructions from you. I know being away can be tough even just for the day, so I'll make sure to send you tons of pictures and videos during my time with them!

- Neighbourhood walks last around 30 minutes; please supply the poo bags, but if necessary I can grab some more for you. I'm not able to transport pets in my car right now sadly, but we'll still have a ton of fun on our adventures!

- Overnight stays: we'll work out the exact time, but generally evening to morning. I won't leave your home for more than 30 minutes during that time, so it's continuous time spent with your pet! They are my main focus during this time. I don't mind if your pets sleep with me, if that's what they're used to!

I'm based here in the North Shore and currently live with my partner; we're planning to add a dog to the household soon! Until recently, I lived with my best friend and our 3 cats, and though they live a whole 5 minutes away now we still have sleepovers and play dates often.

A bit about me: when I'm not booping a snoot or getting cat hair up my nose, I read, write books, and restore antique furniture. I also work on film sets and am a photographer and watercolour artist. I'm nonbinary and my pronouns are they/them ☺️
