I have been dog sitting for more than five years back in the US and I have worked with a range of dogs of all sizes (mini dachshund to large labs) and ages (6 months to 15+ years old). I have watched dogs that required medications and mobility assistance and some that just needed a walk and play time in the middle of the day. I have always loved dogs and my own dog passed away a year ago at 16.5 years old.

I am in New Zealand on a working holiday working part time as a personal trainer and I joined Pawskake so that I can still be around dogs and help keep them happy! I provide services at the dog's residence so that there is less disruption to their normal routines. While I do not have any formal qualifications as a trainer, I did enjoy teaching my dog tricks such as weave, shy, play dead, and crawl and would be willing to help maintain any existing training your dog may have. I have also watched cats and a chinchilla. If your dog is used to running, I am training for a half marathon so I am happy to run with them!
