My name is Erin McKenzie. I’m 27 years old and based in Porirua, New Zealand. I’ve always had a deep love for animals and feel incredibly lucky to work with them every day.

I hold certificates in Animal Behaviour (with a focus on canine behaviour and training), Animal Care, and Veterinary Nursing Assistance, along with a Pet First Aid certificate. My long-term dream is to open my own cattery and small pet boarding service.

Currently, I work full-time (9–5) in the veterinary industry and offer 1–2 home visits per day as part of my pet care services. Each visit lasts around 30 minutes and includes feeding, cuddles, playtime, and general welfare checks. I’m also happy to collect mail and water plants while you’re away. Longer visits can be arranged if you have multiple pets or would like more companionship time for them.

I have hands-on experience with a wide range of domestic pets including dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, and more. At home, I care for my own dogs, cats, a bird, and a blue-tongue skink. I also have experience with farm animals, having spent time volunteering on a dairy farm while growing up.

I’ll happily send photo updates as often as you like—whether it’s daily, every other day, or just once mid-holiday.
