Hi! I’m Shilpa, an animal lover, experienced pet sitter and proud dog owner based in Auckland. I currently have a Golden Retriever of my own, and I’ve also spent almost two years regularly walking and caring for two other dogs as their pet sitter. That experience has taught me that every dog has their own personality, routine and comfort level, and I really enjoy taking the time to understand what makes each dog feel happy and secure.

At the moment, I am offering dog walking only. My walks are usually around 30–45 minutes, depending on your dog’s age, fitness level, energy and usual routine. I’m happy to keep things calm and gentle for smaller or older dogs, or provide a more active walk for dogs who enjoy exploring and burning off some energy.

Having cared for dogs consistently over a long period of time, I’m comfortable with different personalities and understand the importance of being patient, attentive and responsible while they are in my care. I’ll follow any instructions you provide regarding walking routes, pace, interactions with other dogs and any behaviours or situations I should be aware of.

I work during the day, so I’m mainly available for walks in the evenings, on weekends and at other pre-arranged times outside my working hours.

For safety, I prefer dogs that are friendly, vaccinated and reasonably comfortable walking on a leash. Before our first walk, I’d love to learn about your dog’s personality, usual walking habits, energy level, triggers or fears, and anything else that will help me make their walk enjoyable and stress-free.

I know how much trust it takes to leave your dog in someone else’s care. I’ll treat your dog with the same patience, kindness and attention I would want someone to give my own, while making sure they come home happy after a good walk!
