Kia Ora! Looking for longer term pet sitting anywhere in the north island! Hello, we're Izzy and James, we're currently living, working and travelling in NZ for two years. We're looking to settled down a bit in the winter so are open to long term pet sits anywhere in north island as well as shorter ones, we're on the road so give us a message and we will see what we can do :) Double the sitter means double the pet cuddles! Between us we have many years of experience, from our own pets, to sitting for friends and relatives, plus 3 year professional work in a zoo In the UK. We're currently travelling the North Island and so can cover lots of the north island depending on where we're, and we can travel to you for longer sits. We're a quiet and respectful couple that love all animals, with a particular soft spot for dogs of all sizes. Izzy has had medium dogs (black lab, and golden retrievers) throughout her life, and is desperately missing her parent's two golden retriever puppies back in the UK. Izzy grew up in a busy household always with fury friends; dogs and cats, bunnies, hamster and guinipigs as well as chickens and more! And some less fluffy ones too such as snakes, a gecko, frogs and snails! Izzy has professional experience with farm and exotic animals from working in a zoo for three years, and also studied zoo and aquarium management. Both of us love travelling and James has spent nearly 10 years travelling, working in summer camps for 5 summers in America (which included taking care of the camps dogs, cats and horses). He has also worked on a cruise ship for 4 years and between this has travelled extensively while pet sitting for people he's met along the way, in exchange for accommodation and/or funds to support further travel.

We met nearly 6 years ago and in that time have travelled together every year, this has included working for "stand up 4 elephants" in Nepal, an amazing charity hoping to improve the welfare of elephants in Nepal. Izzy has worked with them twice, and James joined on her second time. Both supporting making the food for the elephants, goats and cats on site. As well as site maintenance, cooking and school projects.

James is a fully qualified carpenter when not travelling while Izzy is now a complex care mental health support worker and trapeze teacher on the side. Izzy's last client of two years had one dog and 5 cats, Izzy cared for these animals and helped with two litters of kittens while supporting her client in her role. 

We both love walking, especially if we have a dog to lead the way!

We have experience with puppies and kittens all the way through to the gorgeous oldies! Izzy supports her best friend who walks dogs in London for a living when she's visiting.

We also have experience with giving medications if needed. 

We know what's it's like to having to leave much loved pets in the hands of other people and will take the upmost care of all your lovely animals! We will also send updates and photos if that's what you'd like 😁🐾
