About us:

Soph & Christian

We're both from the UK and have been brought up with dogs ever since we were born, so are used to them being part of the family. We have a home in Hobsonville with a fully fenced garden (fencing is 1.5m high), although our home and garden may be on the smaller side, we have a range of different parks, off lead dog areas and beaches right on our doorstep which makes for some great walks!

We have a pet dog called Zeus who is currently 1.5years old and is a black Labrador Retriever.

Christian and I would love to be able to care for your pets, take them for walks, feed them and generally help you out while you're away. 

I currently work as a Puppy Development Advisor and have previously been a Dog Care Specialist for Blind Low Vision (Guide dogs). I am fully comfortable around oral medications and understand that this is sometimes a requirement (I have done both dog & cat sits through Pawshake that have needed this previously, and do this at work every week).   

I am very passionate about caring for animals and learning about how they react to different situations and their behaviour. I have also passed an Animal Care course with Unitec.

Pawshake for us is a good way for us and Zeus to get our doggie fix and meet lots of different breeds. We come with an abundance of positive references from previous sits over the years, and always treat the animals like they're our own, so you can rest assured your pets are in safe hands while you're away on your trip.

Please note, we only accept bookings from dogs that have a regular up to date flea and worming schedule, and that are neutral / positive with other dogs.
