I have always connected well with animals and found working with them very fulfilling. I worked at a kennel/cattery for 6 months and absolutely fell in love with the job.

 Unfortunately surgical complications meant that I was unable to continue my work there but despite this I wanted to keep building on my skills and knowledge. I have been working through an online course in Animal Behaviour and Management which I have found extremely informative and interesting. 

I have been looking for a way to work with animals again while still completing my online certification and I thought that doing things such as pet sitting or dog walking would be the perfect way to do so. 

I have a beautiful 1 year old cat named Suki, she is the centre of my world so I’m very comfortable with cats. She is also a rescue who had complex health issues for the first 6 months of her life so I’m confident with giving medication if that is something that is needed 

I also have a rescue staffy dog named Teddy, he is my little shadow and will do anything to please and I have trained him to respond to both verbal and nonverbal commands. Teddy was severely mistreated by his previous owners and still wears the scars to this day, his trust is hard to gain and extremely easy to break. It required a lot of patience, compassion and respecting boundaries but we now have an unbreakable bond. Thanks to Teddy I understand that not all dogs have the same needs and that some will require more patience, extra praise and continues work to maintain their trust and I am more than willing to meet those needs.
