My name is Karen McGrory and I am 37 years old. I love animals and enjoy looking after them.

I currently do a lot of house sitting and many of the owners have animals that require looking after, which I absolutely love. This is what has enspired me to sign up.

I currently work at a pharmacy in town as a dispensary technician, and am gaining my qualifications for this position as I work. I grew up in Gisborne and have spent a lot of time living in London where I was fortunate to mostly live in flats with pet cats or dogs. A loss in the family has brought me back home. My family had a small 5 acre farm where I gained experience and confidence with sheep and dogs. I also have friends who often rely on me to look after their pets. I am happy to offer references if required.

Services I am happy to provide will include walking dogs, checking in on and feeding pets, and short or long term stays.

I have looked after dogs, cats, rabbits, fish, sheep and a variety of birds including canaries, cockatiels, chickens and ducks. My main loves are dogs and cats.
