I am a nurse at a medical centre who works 4 days a week. My workmates and patients have their own pets but I don't as we are currently renting and do not have our own home yet.

However, I looked after my workmate's cat (sorry house owner) while he was grieving for his mum's death from Breast Cancer. I know I had to help my workmate with this because series of unfortunate events happened. Late mum's dog passed away 2 months later while under his care. His own fur friend then died a month after. I had to look after Heero, the cat, which was the greatest time of my life. He met my sister and mom through video call! We slept in the living room on his first 2 weeks, to make sure he does not feel lonely nor scared. My son, husband and I are grateful for Heero. However, Heero was an old cat, 14 years old. The owner borrowed him for 2 days, but started to get weak as days pass by. Unfortunately, the owner decided to put him down due to the mass in his belly. Even though I only looked after Heero for a short while, the pain was unbearable.

I promised myself that if I get the chance to have my own pet, I will love and take good care of it so he can enjoy a longer life. So for now, I want to share my care, concern and friendship to other people's fur babies. They only have short lives and they deserve to be happy and well.

My coworker managed to move on with his dark days of grieving and got himself a new pup. Sometimes we go to the dog park and spend few minutes hanging out and let the pup to play with other dogs.

I wish to have more encounters with fur babies. To all who will trust me on this, Thank you.
