Hi, I’m Himaja ( Hima) 👋

I’m 26 and originally came to New Zealand as an international student a few years ago. Back home, I left behind my six gentle little souls who own my heart: one fluffy Shih Tzu 💜and five hilarious, 🔥big-personality Chihuahuas. Walking into my house here and not hearing their tiny paws racing to the door still makes me tear up. I miss their morning zoomies, their warm little bodies curled up on my lap while I study ❤️, and the way they made every single day brighter✨️.

That ache is exactly why I started as a sitter for Pawshake . Being with your dogs fills the space my own babies used to fill. Every wagging tail, every happy sigh when they flop onto their favourite bed, every soft snore during a cuddle on the couch it genuinely warms my heart and brings me the deepest peace. I’ve never known life without dogs , from the moment I could walk, there was always a cold nose nudging my hand or a tiny body keeping my feet warm at night. Pets are my calm in any storm.

So when I come to your home for overnight stays or day visits, I’m not just “doing a job.” I’m soaking up the pure joy that only dogs give, and giving every ounce of that love right back to your pup. Looking after your fur baby keeps me close to the feeling of home, and honestly, there’s nothing I treasure more. Your dog gets a happy, stress-free time in their own kingdom and I get to borrow a little piece of their magic. That’s Paws Hake. That’s me. ❤️🐾
