Hi! I'm Jess, and I've been surrounded by animals for as long as I can remember. I grew up on a farm in the sunny Hawkes Bay, so caring for animals has always been a part of my everyday life. Whether it was feeding them, spending time with them, or enjoying their company, being around animals has always made me happiest.

Anyone who knows me knows my dog Frankie is my best friend! One of the hardest parts about moving away from home to study has been not having pets around every day. Animals bring so much happiness and comfort into my life, and I genuinely love spending time with them. Looking after pets never feels like a job to me but it feels like spending time with family.

I offer overnight house sitting, day sitting, and dog walking. Every pet has their own routine, and I'm happy to adapt to whatever makes them feel most comfortable. Whether that's long walks, playtime, feeding, giving medication if needed, or simply keeping them company, I'll make sure they're well cared for while you're away. I know how important it is to keep pets feeling safe and settled in their own environment. Growing up on a farm meant I was always helping care for a variety of animals, and I've spent my whole life around dogs of all ages and personalities. I've looked after family and friends' pets over the years, from energetic puppies who love long walks and playtime to older dogs who prefer a slower pace and lots of company. I understand that every pet is different, so I always take the time to get to know their personality and routine.

I love all animals, but I definitely have a soft spot for pugs! I'm happy to care for dogs, cats, and other friendly pets. Since I live in an apartment, I'm unable to host pets at my own home, so I'm happy to come to yours where your pets are most comfortable.

As a university student, my schedule is quite flexible, so I can often work around your needs. If your pet has any special routines, dietary requirements, or needs medication, I'm more than happy to follow your instructions carefully. My dog walks are usually 30-60 minutes depending on your pet's age, energy levels, and routine. During day sits, I'll spend quality time with your pet, making sure they have plenty of attention, playtime, toilet breaks, fresh water, and cuddles. For overnight stays, I'll follow your pet's normal routine as closely as possible to help them feel comfortable while you're away. I'll also keep you updated with messages and photos while you're away, so you can relax knowing your pet is happy and in good hands. If I ever need to leave the house during a house sit, it would only be for short periods (such as attending university classes or running quick errands), If an emergency ever arose, I would contact you immediately and seek veterinary care if needed, following any instructions you've left.

I understand that trusting someone with your pet is a big decision, and I'll care for them with the same love, patience, and attention that I give Frankie.
