Kia ora! My name is Colleen, and I absolutely adore animals! Although, we are all on this site becuase we love our pets 😊

Growing up I had 3 beta fish, 2 hamsters and 6 chickens. I always wanted a dog but no matter how much I begged, my parents never gave in. So instead I took care of my friends pets! Multiple cats, kittens, and dogs, guinea pigs, gerbils and even some turtles.

Eventually as a young adult, my sister got a dog during her travels, Queenie, that became the family pet. We adored Queenie, so when she was diagnosed with doggy cancer we knew as a family we would do anything in our power to save her. After her surgeries, she developed additional problems that combined with the chemo meant she needed 24/7 care. As a family we created a schedule for her 11 medications and split up her care into shifts. I had the night shift, so I was in charge of checking her bandages, keeping her stiches clean and clear, periodically checking in on her, and administering her medications. After almost a year of this, she survived and is cancer free!

Additionally, I have experience working at a local doggy daycare that also offered boarding services. I was the kennel manager, receiving dogs in the morning, exercising them, keeping track of their health & dietary needs, cleaning the space, and ensuring a safe return home.

SERVICES:

Dog Walks- my walks are generally closer to 45 minutes, depending on how energetic the pup is, extra 15min are included in the price. Will alternate between walking and some brief light jogging.

Cat Visits- 30 minute visit that includes, feeding, litter box scooping, light cleaning where pet has made things dirty, a check around the home for any kitty accidents or hairballs, and playtime or cuddles with your cat.

As of right now my availability is open and flexible! My only restrictions are that I primarily use public transportation, and I can not board/care for any animals at my home.
