Hi there! I'm April, a 19-year-old nursing student. I am an experienced and reliable pet sitter with a genuine love for animals of all shapes and sizes. Over the years, I’ve cared for a wide variety of animals, from energetic puppies to older pets who need a gentler approach. I understand that every animal has its own personality, routine, and needs, and I’m confident working with shy, playful, or high-energy pets.
I've grown up with dogs and cats, as well as looking after those of family and friends, and know that they're more than just an animal - they're family. I treat every pet as if they were my own and I’m committed to keeping them happy, relaxed, and well-loved while you’re away. 

Pet care for me looks like giving your pet the attention, love and care on a level that they are used to and require. While some may need lots of play and stimulation, others may prefer a quiet companion. I am quite an active person, and thoroughly enjoy taking nice long walks, especially if it is with a companion.
While I am unable to care for your pets at my own home, I am confident and able to so at yours. I am especially confident with dogs, cats and chickens, but have looked after a range of animals in the past and am happy to do so again if needed.

My services include (but are not limited to) feeding, walking, playing, and both day and overnight sitting. When looking after dogs I love to take them out for a nice long walk, whether that is around Lake Ngaroto or to a nearby dog park. I tend to be most available Thursday to Sunday, anytime of the day. When house sitting I am both confident and comfortable staying alone to look after your pets, and I am happy to do any other jobs that may need doing, whether that be watering plants, checking the mail or making sure the house is nice and tidy for your return.
