Kia ora animal lovers,

I'm Anika, I'm 24 and I work full-time in Wellington CBD. The furry friend in my photo is my brother Zeus, he's a 12 year old Maltese. Our family is big on spending time outside, we love the occasional treat and daily walks are a must to have a productive day. 

I grew up around dogs, and a cat. Since moving down to wellington, I have missed having a buddy join me on my walks. My previous experience is with my family dogs which range from small to medium sized dogs, but have dog sat casually for friends with larger dogs in the past. At this stage, my services include dog walking and home visits. I won't be house-sitting or dog-sitting, at my home or yours. 

While visiting your home, I take great care in making sure I lock up and leave everything as you left it. I am happy to bring in mail or water your plants if needed. I will take your dog(s) out for a walk and then spend some time playing with them at home. I estimate this taking an hour but am fllexible to reduce or extend this time if required. 

Ideally, I like to walk in a dog friendly park if there is one close by, alternatively I would take them for a walk around the neighbourhood. If your dog travels well in a car and you're okay with it, I'm happy to drive them to a park if it's slightly too far out from where you live. I know there are some small dog friendly parks near Karori, Wadestown, and Crofton Downs. 

I have experience and am comfortable administering oral medications to small - medium sized dogs. The black poodle cross in my profile had seizures and required two medications taken orally every couple hours. I have also had experience looking after him through and post seizures. 

I am usually available in the afternoon and evenings on a weekday, but am free all day on weekends.
