Hello! I'm Claudia.

I started petsitting and dog walking 2 or 3 years ago with a nz housesitting website. I have always been around animals, felt comfortable with them and made time to help family members by walking their dog. I took on five pet-sits through the website and really enjoyed being with the animals every day - I was sad to leave them at the end of the sit.

I have also looked after and walked my family's pets: I have walked my aunt's dog many times (she lives here) and went down to Nelson for a month or so to pet-sit and housesit for my Dad's dog.

The owners always praised my efforts and ability to handle the animals (and follow specific feeding/medication instructions) and so I now have several referees to confirm this experience. Almost all of them asked for me to do more pet-sitting for them, which was a nice confirmation that they trusted me in their home.

My dog walking experience comes from my pet-sitting experience, where I would walk the dogs almost every single day (sometimes if there was bad weather I would skip the walk and give the dogs more attention in the yard, chucking a ball around for them to fetch).

My Experience (caring, feeding and/or walking):

- Dogs (2 or more large dogs at the same time)

- Cats

- Chickens

- Frogs 

- Cows (sectioning paddocks)

My Schedule:

Currently I am studying online part-time and taking on only a little work so I have plenty of time for your pets, for dog walking or whatever it is you need! 

I am available in the morning, afternoon and evening, weekdays or weekends.

My Services:

- Dog walking:

Number of dogs from 1-3

Walks are an hour

Doggy Daycare and Pet-sitting:

- Being with the pets for the majority of the time (3 hours away from pets per day maximum)

- Daily feeding of pets

- Daily administration of medication (if necessary)

- 1 hour walking daily (if there are dogs in the house)

- Completion of basic household chores such as bringing in mail or watering plants daily, if that is needed

Performing house visits:

Can include: pet feeding, cleaning up poop from lawn and household basics like bringing in mail or watering plants.

24 Hour Care:

If your pet needs someone to be there 24 hours, there is an extra $30 per day fee on top of the 24 hours stated in my services rates

Home security:

I am able to use home security, at a house-sit in Pyes Pa I would turn on the security device when leaving and use the pin when coming back into the house.

I have done 6+ house-sits (most of them with pets) and I was always careful to lock doors at night, open minimal windows/doors and remember to close those I used. 

Transporting pets:

- Short trip (1 hour travel time from and back to my home in Bellevue, Tauranga)

($20 fixed amount + $20 for 0-30 mins, $40 for 30-60 mins, 1 hour max)

Cages, food, toys and other necessary things for travel all need to be provided by owner.

- Long trip (1 hour or more travel time from and back to my home in Bellevue, Tauranga)

(1 hour minimum, 3 hours each way travel maximum, $45 per hour)

Note: I will use Google Maps to find transporting pets travel times from my home to destinations and back to my home to then calculate the rate to be paid.

What I cannot provide:

- Professional Grooming

- Professional Training

- Pet-sitting at my own home
