Hi ! I’m a Belgian animal lover currently living in Mount Maunganui (NZ) on a working holiday visa. I broke my ankle so I have a lot of free time ! I am wearing a walking boot and using crutches, that is why I am looking for a calm way to earn some money while still doing something I genuinely enjoy : taking care of cats. I have been using my crutches for 7 weeks now, so I am very comfortable with them and fully able to go up and down stairs without any problem. I also have a car, which makes it easy for me to travel and be flexible for visits.

Depending on your needs, I can come up to twice a day, with the duration of each visit to be agreed together based on what works best for you and your pet’s routine.

During my visits, I can feed your cats, cuddle and pet them, play with them, clean litter boxes, give them any necessary care or medication, and make sure they are comfortable and safe. I can also let them in or out as needed, depending on their usual routine.

I have always lived with animals and caring for them has been part of my daily life for as long as I can remember. My first cat, Figaro, lived a long and happy life until the age of 21. After his passing, my family adopted Pringles, who has now been part of our family for the past 6 years. We also had a Canadian Shepherd named Achille, who lived with us for 3 years. In addition, we adopted a 7-year-old German Shepherd named Sira, who spent 5 wonderful years with us.

I am used to feeding pets, cleaning litter boxes, playing with them, giving them attention and making sure they feel safe and comfortable. I understand that every animal has a different personality and I always adapt to their needs and routines. Some cats are naturally curious and affectionate, while others may need more time to adapt or can be shy and fearful around new people. I always respect their boundaries and take the time to gain their trust by staying calm, gentle and reassuring.

I know that leaving your pet with someone else can sometimes feel stressful, so if it reassures you, I would be happy to send you photos of your cat and a message after each visit to keep you updated on how everything went. Your cats safety and wellbeing are very important to me. In case of any emergency or concern, I would contact you immediately and follow your instructions carefully to make sure your pets receive the best possible care.

Even with my injury, I can still move around and take great care of cats in a calm and loving environment. I would be happy to look after your sweet felines and give them plenty of care, cuddles and attention while you are away !
