An introduction to me:

I grew up in South Africa surrounded by pets. My friends often referred to our home as a farm. We averaged around 6 dogs and 6 cats at any given time throughout my childhood. We have had a Ridgeback, Great Dane, Shorkie, Basset Hound, Swiss Sheppard, German Sheppard as well as a Shiba Inu and other crossbreeds over the years. My pets always sleep on the bed with me and often sit on the couch with me too. We always played fetch with our dogs in the garden, as well as the odd wrestle now and then. They loved being taken on walks to the beach and playing in the waves.

I love cats just as much (although that love may not be reciprocated, lol). I learned to understand the temperament of a cat and to respect their need to choose you, and that they cannot be told when to be loving and affectionate. Cats seem to enjoy my laid-back personality and eventually come for a cuddle. I have loved the characters we had over the years.

My experience:

I have house-sat and looked after pets in South Africa and Northern Ireland. In South Africa, I house-sat for a week, where I looked after 2 Ridgebacks (and broke up a fight between them- not fun!), as well as 2 cats in that house too. I have looked after another South African family's house and dogs for a week, where I looked after a Border Collie, Belgian Malinois, Kelpie, Collie x Kelpie and Jack Russell. 

In Northern Ireland, I house-sat and looked after French Bulldogs on numerous occasions.
