Hi, I’m Lin. I am a genuine animal lover and a proud fur mum to a Golden Retriever and a cat. Dogs are a big part of my life, and my whole family are passionate about animals too. My husband and I have lived in New Zealand for 24 years, and we are based in Henderson, West Auckland.

I offer dog day care and overnight boarding in my home and dog walking. I understand how important it is to find someone caring, patient, and trustworthy to look after your dog while you are away or busy during the day.

Because I have my own large dog, I have attended many dog training classes with my Golden Retriever and have learnt a lot about dog behaviour, communication, and positive training. I enjoy spending time with dogs, understanding their personalities, and helping them feel safe, relaxed, and happy.

I work from home, so dogs staying with me will usually have someone at home with them and will rarely be left alone. I provide two walks per day — one in the morning and one in the afternoon or evening. I enjoy taking dogs to local parks, off-leash parks regularly, local streets around home, and sometimes beaches or new dog-friendly areas, depending on the dog’s needs, confidence, and the owner’s instructions.

I have attended many dog training classes with my Golden Retriever and have learnt a lot about dog behaviour, communication, boundaries, and positive training. I am calm, patient, and safety-focused. I will always do my best to follow each dog’s normal routine, including feeding, walking, rest time, play, and comfort needs.

For nervous dogs, I give them space and time to settle rather than pushing them too quickly. I use calm energy, gentle guidance, and positive rewards to encourage calm behaviour around new people, dogs, and environments.

A meet and greet is important before confirming a booking. When introducing a new dog to my own dog, I prefer to meet outside the house first with both dogs on lead. I allow them to meet at their own pace, with comfortable space, calm handling, and rewards for relaxed behaviour.

I am best suited to caring for friendly dogs who are comfortable around people, dogs, and cats. I will treat your dog with kindness, respect, and genuine care, just as I would want someone to care for mine.

I also have many years of experience working with young children, so being calm, responsible, observant, and gentle is part of my everyday practice. I bring the same patience and care when looking after animals.

Every dog has their own personality, routine, likes, dislikes, and little habits. I will always do my best to follow your instructions and care for your dog with kindness and respect.

I will treat your dog like family, just as I would want someone to care for mine.
