About me

Hi! I am Celene! I am a Psychology uni student and I found Pawshake to be a great use in spending my spare time having fun with animals! I don't see pet sitting as a chore or a job but an opportunity to have a fun with a fur buddy!! I am very friendly with animals and my photo gallery is always filled with my two cats, if not, it would be other people's pets!

Since I was 8 years old, I've been taking care of different types of pets such as rabbits, chickens, hamsters, dogs and cats. I have always had a big heart for animals and treat them like family. I now have two cats that I love the most. I treat all animals like my babies and give them the most care and love I can give. I understand how it can be scary to trust a stranger with your lovely pets which is why I make sure to give as much updates as I can (photos of every visit with a description of how they are doing)!

My experience

I have done pet sitting for my family and friends for about 3 years now and currently doing more pet sitting through Pawshake! I can say I am confident with taking care of your lovely animals. I can do house visits (from 30 minutes to an hour) which includes feeding them, playing with them, spending time with them and other things they need! I am happy to provide daily updates with lots of photos and videos if preferred, giving you lots of assurance that your pets are well-taken care of. If you need me to, I can also bring your mail / parcels, water your plants, and other essential things you can't do while you're away! I can also walk your dog from 40 mins to an hour. I currently don't accept boarding or day care in my home due to the limited capacity. *I can only do a maximum of 2 overnight stays, and only for past/existing clients.*

I did 70+ hours working at Western Veterinary as my clinic placement in Unitec. I have knowledge and experience in taking care of both cats and dogs. In 2022, I rescued more than 10 cats in the Philippines and many of them were sick. I spent the whole year in the Philippines, taking them to the vet and administering medicines to the cats. After they recovered, I had them neutered and found their rightful new owners. 

I am also an animal welfare advocate and I speak for the rights of animals who do not have their own voice. I truly believe animals deserve just as much respect and love as us humans do! I also actively volunteer and fundraise for animal charities ⭐️
