Hi, I’m Lucie, a dog-loving human mum and photographer based in Forest Lake, Hamilton. I’d love to welcome your dog into our home and give them a comfortable, caring place to stay while you’re away.

We live right next to Minogue park, so there are plenty of opportunities for walks and exploring. We both work from home (my husband, Lex, every day, and me mostly as I sometimes need to go out for a shoot), which means your dog won’t be left alone and will have plenty of company throughout the day. + they can take themselves to the backyard through the back door. Our daughter goes to kindy so they can hang when we pick her up.

We don’t currently have any pets of our own, which means your dog gets all the attention and doesn’t have to share their space with resident pets.

I’m happy to follow your dog’s usual routine as closely as possible, including feeding, walks, medication if needed and any little habits that help them feel settled. I’ll also keep you updated with photos and messages while you’re away, because I know it’s reassuring to see that your pup is happy and enjoying themselves.

We do have a few house rules: pets aren’t allowed on the furniture or in the bedrooms wherever possible.

Most importantly, I’ll treat your dog with the same care, patience and affection I’d want for my own.

I grew up with dogs my whole life and my little family loves dogs! (It's just me, my husband and our almost 4 year old daughter at home)

We used to live with our flatmate's dog and we loved him as our own. Looking after him, going on walks and picking up his poos 😅

Being a photographer, I love taking photos (but don't worry, I won't send too many!) Professional family and pet portraits are available in my mini home studio or outdoor if you're interested 😊 @getpicturedbylucie on instagram - enquire for prices.

Our property is smoke-free and we have a backyard with fruit trees (good shade in summer) and plenty of space (previous owners had dogs), secure with security cameras, fully fenced, quiet and spacious.

Our ideal routine: walks, playtime, downtime, gardening/garden time, company during the day.

NB section:

- I love cats but I'm allergic to them, so if you have a cat, I'm sorry but I can't stay in your house for too long. (Home visits are fine)

- If your dog is staying in our house, they will just need to be a small to medium dog (~30kg female max), gentle breed, used to small kids!

- Dog boarding is per 24 hours. eg. you're dropping off at 10am and picking up at 1pm or later, please book a daycare or an add-on to the booking 🙏
