Hi, I’m Ell! 🐾

I’ve grown up surrounded by dogs and other pets, and I’ve always been a huge animal lover. My partner and I have recently moved to Queenstown, and while we’re loving our new adventure, I really miss our two family Golden Retrievers!

Dog sitting feels like the perfect way for me to get my dog fix while giving your furry friends plenty of love, care and attention. I’ve also previously worked professionally as a dog sitter, caring for dogs of all ages — from playful puppies to older dogs who need a little extra patience and care.

A little about me

Alongside dog sitting, I work as a website & business developer on a contracting basis, working remotely with different brands around the world. This means I’m lucky enough to work from home and have a very flexible schedule.

For dog sitting, this is a huge benefit because I can work from your home while also being present with your pets throughout the day. Unlike someone who works outside the home and may need to leave your dogs alone for 8+ hours, I can be around for most of the day, with any time away kept to a minimum and based around your dog’s needs.

I’m a professional, responsible, clean and well-presented person, and I completely understand that dog sitting is about more than trusting someone with your beloved pet — you’re also inviting someone into your home. I take that responsibility seriously and will always respect your home, belongings, privacy and house rules. I’ll treat your home with the same care and respect I would my own and leave it clean and tidy.

I’m also a non-drinker, early riser and early-to-bed person, so I’m naturally suited to a quiet and relaxed routine with your pets. 🐶

🐾 My dog sitting service

My service is completely personalised to your dog’s individual routine and needs. I know every dog is different, so I’m happy to follow the routine they’re already comfortable with rather than expecting them to fit into mine.

This can include:

• Dog walks tailored to your dog’s energy and routine — for example, a 1-hour morning walk followed by a 30-minute evening walk, or two 30-minute walks throughout the day.
• 🍽Feeding according to their normal routine, whether that’s once, twice or three times a day.
•  Medication administration if your dog needs it, following your instructions.
• Treats, enrichment and playtime according to your preferences.
•  Plenty of cuddles, company and attention throughout the day.
•  Keeping to your dog’s usual routine as closely as possible to help them feel comfortable while you’re away.
•  House sitting alongside pet sitting, including keeping your home secure, clean and tidy.
•  Letting dogs outside for toilet breaks and making sure they have fresh water.
•  Caring for puppies, older dogs and dogs who may need a little extra attention or patience.
• Regular updates and photos so you can see how your furry friend is getting on while you’re away.
• Being attentive to any changes in your dog’s behaviour, eating, energy or wellbeing and keeping you informed.
•  Following any specific house rules, security requirements or instructions you leave for me.

Ultimately, my goal is to make your time away as stress-free as possible for you and your dog. I want you to feel confident knowing your pet is getting lots of love and attention, while your home is being respected and looked after too.
