Hi! I’m Iasmin, a 29-year-old animal lover originally from Brazil. I’ve had dogs my entire life, and when I moved to New Zealand, I had to leave my beloved dog, Tapioca, with my mum. She’s still the one I miss the most. I now share my home with my cat, Elizabeth, who reminds me every day how special our furry friends are.

I have experience caring for both dogs and cats, including pet sitting, home visits, and dog walking. Back in Brazil, I regularly walked dogs and looked after the pets of friends and family while they were away. My first pet sitting experience in New Zealand was looking after Beau over the New Year’s holidays, spending five days caring for her at the beach. It was such a wonderful experience that her owner kindly offered to be a reference for me afterward.

I understand that every pet has their own personality and routine, and I’ll always treat them with patience, kindness, and lots of love.

Services I offer:

• 35-minute dog walks tailored to your dog’s age, energy level, and pace, ensuring they get plenty of exercise, enrichment, and attention.

• 45-minute home visits including feeding, fresh water, playtime, cuddles, toilet or litter tray care, and companionship.

• Overnight house sitting so your pets can stay comfortable in their own home while you’re away.

I have a full-time job, but I have a two-hour break during the day, so I always come back to check on your pet, spend time with them, and make sure they’re happy and comfortable. I’m available every day at different times, and flexibility is one of my biggest strengths. I’m always happy to discuss a schedule that works best for both you and your pet.

I’m comfortable reinforcing basic training such as sit, stay, recall, good leash manners, and rewarding positive behaviour to help maintain the routines you’re already working on. I can also administer oral medications exactly as prescribed and according to your instructions.

I know every pet is different. With shy or anxious pets, I always respect their space and let them approach me in their own time, helping them build trust and feel safe. In the event of an emergency, I’ll stay calm, assess the situation, contact you immediately, and, if necessary, take your pet to your nominated veterinarian or the nearest emergency veterinary clinic. I’ll keep you informed every step of the way and follow any emergency instructions you’ve provided.

Communication is incredibly important to me. I’ll send regular photos, videos, and detailed daily updates so you’ll always know how your pet is doing, what we’ve been up to, and how they’re feeling. My goal is for you to enjoy your time away with complete peace of mind, knowing your furry family member is being cared for as if they were my own.
