My name is Janina Reynolds. I am a 23-year-old from America, who is here in New Zealand on a Working Holiday Visa. My most recent job role was working in a museum back home, and I enjoyed doing that. I first came to New Zealand two years ago to study abroad for a semester. I met someone during that time, which is one reason I have come back, but I also just loved New Zealand. I am not offering any pet boarding at my home due to living in a flat that does not allow pets, but I can offer dog walking, home visits, and house sitting. I have always had a deep love for animals, and being a pet sitter allows me to combine my passion for pets with my desire to help pet owners feel at ease when they’re away. I understand how important your pet is to you, and I strive to provide them with the same love and care I would give my own furry friends. Whether it’s dogs, cats, or even small animals, I offer a safe, comfortable, and nurturing environment for them to feel at home while you're gone. I understand that your pet is a beloved family member, and my goal is to provide them with the care, attention, and companionship they need to feel safe and happy in the comfort of their own home.

I have experience in pet sitting, including walking, feeding, playing, and administering basic care. I can also follow any specific instructions for your pet’s routine. I pride myself on being reliable, responsible, and attentive to each pet’s unique needs. I once had to pet sit for a dog who had separation anxiety, and she did not like being left alone for long periods. I had to stay with the dog for two nights. Even though I had only met the dog during the time of the pet sitting, she had adapted to me quickly and enjoyed playing fetch. 

I also believe in maintaining a safe environment for all pets in my care, which is why I only accept vaccinated pets. Your pet’s well-being is my top priority, and I aim to give both you and your pet peace of mind while you’re away. 

I am usually available in the afternoon or evening, and I typically choose to walk any dog in the evening when it is much cooler outside (specifically during the summer time). I am offering dog walking, home visits and house sitting services. When it comes to dog walking, I would do it for 30-50 minutes and typically walk the dog around a park. However, the location may vary depending on where the owner lives. For home visits, I would stay with the pets for 30 minutes or up to an hour, depending on the instructions of the owners. If the owners would like me to also include dog walking with the home visits, I would be willing to do that as well. My services for home visits would be to feed the pets and make sure to take the dog outside to use the bathroom. I could also water plants and bring in mail if needed. For home sitting, I can stay in the owner's house for up to a week, but I would like to pay a visit to the home and meet the pets first before the stay to get better instructions on what the owners need me to do. For home security measures, I would make sure that I lock all doors when I am not there, and I would make sure all windows are shut as well. I would never leave the dogs outside all day, especially in the heat, or if I am not there.
