I want to offer my backyard as a safe, social environment for a medium to large breed dog to spend the day with my Alaskan Malamute, Alia (2½ years old, female, desexed).

Alia is an awesome dog with a friendly, playful nature and loves spending time with other dogs. Like many working breeds, she thrives on companionship and activity. Having another dog around during the day makes her much happier, and your dog may benefit from the same social interaction.

While Alia is my first dog as an adult, I grew up around dogs and have always been comfortable caring for them. Over the past few years I've learned a great deal about dog behaviour, socialisation, exercise requirements, and the importance of matching dogs with suitable playmates. Alia regularly interacts with other dogs and is very social, friendly, and not territorial.

The property has a large secure outdoor area with plenty of room to run and play, fresh water available at all times, shade and shelter, and security cameras that allow me to remotely monitor the dogs throughout the day. The setup is designed to provide a safe and enjoyable environment where compatible dogs can exercise, play, and enjoy companionship while their owners are at work.

Of course, any prospective dog would need to be introduced to Alia first to ensure they are a good match. The safety, wellbeing, and compatibility of both dogs will always come first.

Drop-off can be arranged either before I leave for work or, if suitable, after I have left. Pickup can be at your convenience later in the day.

Prerequisites:
• Your dog must be friendly and well-socialised with other dogs.
• Vaccinations must be current.
• Your dog must be registered with the local council and wear a current registration tag.
• Your dog should be healthy and free from contagious illnesses.

This is not intended to replace premium doggy daycare or provide one-on-one dog sitting. Instead, it is an affordable alternative for owners who want their dog to have companionship, exercise, and a safe environment during the day. If your dog enjoys the company of other dogs and would benefit from having a friend to spend the day with, this arrangement could be a great fit.
