I’ve always loved animals and grew up on a large farm surrounded by cows, sheep, pigs, chickens, ducks and horses, as well as having cats and dogs in the house. Over the years, I’ve also had experience around birds, rats and mice. While I don’t have professional pet-care experience, I’m a confident and caring animal owner who understands the importance of patience, routine and individual needs. Based in Wakari, Dunedin, I’m happy to travel up to 20 km for pet care. I offer daytime visits of around 30 minutes, once or twice daily, depending on your needs. Visits can include feeding, refreshing water, playtime, company, cleaning litter trays and general cage upkeep, depending on the animals in my care. I’m also happy to consider overnight house sitting for one or two nights, depending on my schedule and commitments at home. I have a dog and cat of my own, so I understand how important it is to know your pets are safe and well cared for. I enjoy running and exploring the hills with my dog, but he can stay at home if your pet prefers its own space. I’m comfortable caring for most pets, provided I’m given clear instructions about their needs and routines. I haven’t cared for reptiles before, so I’d be upfront about any specific requirements I’m unfamiliar with. My aim is to give you peace of mind and make sure your animals receive attentive, reliable care while you’re away.
