Hi! I’m Samantha

Animals have always been a huge part of my life, and caring for them is something I genuinely love. I currently work professionally at a kennel and cattery in Dunedin, where I care for a variety of dogs and cats every day. My work has given me hands-on experience with feeding, cleaning, walks, medication, different personalities and making sure animals feel safe and comfortable in my care. Outside of work, I have my own much-loved rabbit, Koda, so I’m very comfortable with animals beyond just dogs and cats too!

My main service is house sitting, which is ideal for pets who are happiest staying in their own familiar surroundings. I’ll stay overnight in your home, maintain their normal routine, provide meals and fresh water, give medication where needed, provide companionship and exercise, and keep you updated with photos and messages. I do have my normal work commitments during the day, so pets need to be comfortable being left for a few hours, or for dogs I can bring them to work with me. I do split shift so I'm able to come back in the middle and care for them.

I also offer 30-minute home visits for feeding, toilet/litter care, medication, play and cuddles, as well as 30-minute dog walks.

I’m comfortable caring for dogs, cats, rabbits and other small animals, and I’m happy to discuss individual needs, routines and personalities before booking. I particularly enjoy getting to know shy or nervous animals and letting them come to me at their own pace.

I’m respectful of your home, reliable, tidy and happy to follow your instructions so your pets can keep their routine while you’re away. My goal is simple: for you to enjoy your time away knowing your animals are safe, happy and well cared for.
