A bit about me:

Hi, I’m Christina :) I am from the US, and I have lived in NZ for the past 6 years. I am a dog parent to a 5 year old spoodle named Dahlia and I've raised her since she was an 8 week old puppy.

I love and prefer the company of animals especially dogs and cats that behave like dogs. Growing up, I had many pets such as cats, dogs, hamsters, birds, fish, etc. I also have experience looking after other people’s pets as I have provided pet care services including home visits for cats and / or dogs and dog walking in NZ and the US.

I truly understand pets are more than companions - they are our family members. My dog, Dahlia, is my best friend and my family. She is incredibly precious to me and I strive to give her the best life possible. Similarly, when I look after your pet(s), I will give them the best care possible because doing so gives me immense joy and happiness.

For home visits:

-replace water

-give food and treats

-administer non-injectable medicine

-clean the cat litter box

-let the dog out for toileting

-offer lots of wanted attention, pets, and cuddles

-play fetch or tug, or play with feather wands or string teasers, etc.

-clean up pet accidents

Additional services for home visits: If you need help with tasks like bringing in mail / packages, putting away rubbish bins, or watering plants, I can help with that. Just let me know :)

2x home visit option: Please tell me if you would prefer the two 30-minute home visits to be combined into an hour-long visit instead of two separate 30-minute visits

For dog walks:

-please provide the collar, leash, and / or harness as well as poo bags

-it is helpful to know where the dog likes to go for walks and if there are any triggers I need to be aware of (e.g., big dogs, skateboarders, kids)

-I like to have the dog lead the walk

-I try not to rush the dog when they are smelling things aka checking their pee-mail

-I like to practice loose-leash walking

-if it is okay to have the dog off-lead outside AND there is a safe area to play, then I can throw a ball / toy for the dog or simply let the dog run around

-if there are specific things you want me to focus on during the walk, please let me know

1-hour dog walks: Please tell me you would like a 1-hour dog walk instead of a 30-minute walk

What I can offer:

The services I offer are home visits and dog walks (~30-40 minutes or 1 hour), and I will send text, photo, and / or video updates. I am centrally located in the CBD and work part-time in education, so if you need help caring for your fur baby while you are at work or away, please message me. I am happy to meet you and your pet(s) beforehand to make sure we are a good fit. The meet and greets are free, btw :)
