Kia ora! I’m Ava, a 19-year-old uni student with a tremendous amount of love for animals and a super active lifestyle. Pet sitting is something I’m super excited about because animals have always been such a huge part of my life. As a student, I’m not able to have my own pet right now, and I really miss the daily walks, cuddles, and overall companionship. Being able to care for other people’s pets is the perfect way for me to stay connected to that while also helping owners feel at ease when they’re away.

I’ve grown up around animals and feel confident with pets of all sizes and personalities. My older dog, Jet, is a Husky/Lab cross who definitely keeps me on my toes and needs lots of exercise and stimulation. My younger pup, Maggie, is a Mini Schnauzer with very different needs, so I’m used to adjusting my care depending on the dog. I’ve also owned cats and know they all have their own little quirks and routines that deserve to be respected.

I love being outdoors, going for walks, and keeping busy, so energetic dogs are no problem for me! At the same time, I’m more than happy to slow things down for older pets or those who just prefer a cuddle and some calm company. I genuinely love animals and understand how important they are to their families. I know how much trust it takes to leave your pet with someone else, and I take that seriously.

I’m happy to help with walks, house sitting, or drop-in visits, and I’m flexible to work around your pet’s routine. I’d absolutely love the opportunity to care for your furry friend and treat them like one of my own.
