Hi, I'm Grace, a university student in Christchurch studying psychology, with a soft spot for animals that goes right back to childhood. I grew up with pets at home, so I know the small things that make a big difference to an animal's comfort, such as sticking to their usual routine, reading their body language, and giving them the reassurance they need when their owner isn't around. I currently share a flat with flatmates, so for overnight care I come to your home rather than bring pets to mine, which keeps things calm and familiar for them, in their own space with their own smells, toys, and routine. Dog walking: A 30 or 60-minute walk (your choice) at a pace suited to your dog, plus fresh water and a check of food/toilet needs on request. Happy to do one-off walks or a regular weekly slot. House sitting: I stay overnight at your home, covering feeding, walks, medication (non-veterinary), litter/hutch cleaning, and basic home upkeep like mail and lights, so your pet keeps their normal routine and your house looks lived-in. I care for dogs of any size, cats and small pets like rabbits and guinea pigs. I don't currently take on exotic pets, or livestock. As a student, my schedule is flexible and fits around uni and part-time work, happy to chat about timing that works for you.
